Onyeka Okongwu is Cleared to Play During Game 2 on Monday

Atlanta Hawks center Onyeka Okongwu (knee) is available to play ahead of Monday's Game 2 against the New York Knicks. Okongwu has been dealing with right knee inflammation, but it won't be serious enough to hold him out of this game. He finished with 19 points, seven rebounds, and two assists across 37 minutes during Saturday's loss. There's a chance that Okongwu sees a lighter workload due to the ongoing knee problem. If that does happen, Mouhamed Gueye and Tony Bradley would likely take on larger roles. Neither of the two big man are worth a look as DFS options with Okongwu healthy on Monday.

Onyeka Okongwu Might Miss Game 2 Against Knicks

Atlanta Hawks center Onyeka Okongwu (knee) has picked up a questionable tag ahead of Game 2 against the New York Knicks on Monday. He's been added to the injury report with right knee inflammation. Onyeka played 37 minutes in Saturday's series-opening 113-102 loss, contributing 19 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and one block. The Hawks are already missing Jock Landale (ankle) from their center rotation, so losing Okongwu would be a bitter pill to swallow. Mouhamed Gueye and Tony Bradley would need to step up if Okongwu isn't cleared for Monday's game.

Onyeka Okongwu Won't Play on Saturday

Atlanta Hawks center Onyeka Okongwu (finger) has been ruled out ahead of Saturday's game against the Sacramento Kings. The big man appears to have suffered a finger injury that will keep him sidelined for this game. Luckily, fellow big man Jock Landale (shoulder) is back in the mix following a one-game absence. Landale should move into the starting five and have increased fantasy value on Saturday. Mouhamed Gueye should take over as the primary backup, but Landale is the better fantasy choice between the two. Fantasy managers should check back on Monday for another update on Okongwu ahead of their game against the Boston Celtics.

Onyeka Okongwu is Available to Play on Saturday

Atlanta Hawks center Onyeka Okongwu (mouth) is available to play ahead of Saturday's game against the Charlotte Hornets. Okongwu is back after missing the last four games due to having a dental procedure. His return to the court should shift Jock Landale back to the second unit. This season, Okongwu is averaging 16.3 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 3.3 assists across 32.0 minutes per game. He has been one of the best big men in the league and should be started in all fantasy formats. Fantasy managers should double-check their lineups and get Okongwu in there ahead of tip-off.

Onyeka Okongwu Still Out on Thursday

Atlanta Hawks forward/center Onyeka Okongwu (mouth) won't play on Thursday versus Utah, marking his fourth consecutive absence. He was listed as questionable throughout the day, so it looks like he might be back on Saturday against the Charlotte Hornets. In the meantime, Jock Landale could find himself in the starting lineup after recently being traded from Memphis. With that said, regardless of Landale's role, he has double-double upside in a meeting with one of the worst teams in the NBA.

Onyeka Okongwu Not Ready to Return on Tuesday Evening

Atlanta Hawks center Onyeka Okongwu (mouth) won't play on Tuesday against Miami. The 25-year-old took an elbow to the mouth during the 117-106 loss to the Boston Celtics on January 28, costing him the following two contests. With Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles) questionable, his return may help lessen the blow. However, even if Porzingis sheds the questionable tag, Mouhamed Gueye, who had 15 points, four boards, three steals, and one block in the loss to Indiana on Saturday, should continue to hold a prominent role.

Onyeka Okongwu Out at Least Through the Weekend

Atlanta Hawks forward/center Onyeka Okongwu (mouth) is being evaluated on a day-to-day basis after undergoing a dental procedure and has already been ruled out for Thursday against Houston, with Saturday's game in Indiana also off the table. His next chance to return comes Tuesday in Miami. Atlanta unexpectedly turned to Christian Koloko as a starter, and he logged 26 minutes with six points, seven rebounds, one steal, and one block, while Mouhamed Gueye played 21 minutes off the bench with two points, three rebounds, and two assists. Both Koloko and Gueye remain difficult to trust, given the small sample and fluctuating roles, keeping Okongwu as the clear hold.

Onyeka Okongwu Will Not Play Thursday

Atlanta Hawks center Onyeka Okongwu (dental) left Wednesday's win in Boston early with what was called a facial contusion but has now been updated to a dental fracture, which will keep him out of Thursday's game against the Rockets. Okongwu has averaged 16.3 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 32 minutes per game in his 47 contests this season. It is unclear if this issue will cause him to miss any further time, but for as long as he's out, Christian Koloko and Mouhamed Gueye will be in line for expanded playing time at center. Both have streaming and DFS bargain upside, with Gueye showcasing a high ceiling in an expanded role earlier this season.

Onyeka Okongwu Sidelined Wednesday

According to Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network, Atlanta Hawks forward/center Onyeka Okongwu (illness) won't suit up against the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday. The 25-year-old big man will miss the game due to an illness. His next chance to get back on the floor will come on Friday against the Nuggets. Okumgwu has played in 37 games this season, posting averages of 16.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.0 blocks across 37 appearances. With Okongwu sidelined this evening, Mouhamed Gueye will likely take extra minutes.

Onyeka Okongwu Good to Go Sunday

Atlanta Hawks forward/center Onyeka Okongwu (ankle) will return from a one-game absence on Sunday against the Charlotte Hornets. Initially, the team listed Okongwu as questionable for the contest after he missed Saturday's win against the New Orleans Pelicans with an ankle issue. With no Kristaps Porzingis (knee) in the Hawks lineup on Sunday, Okongwu is poised to make his seventh start of the season. He has boosted his numbers to 20.0 points and 6.7 rebounds per game in a starting role this season, posting two double-doubles.
