Devin Carter Fantasy Stats

The Boston Celtics are converting guard Devin Carter's Exhibit 10 contract into a two-way deal, according to HoopsHype's Michael Scotto. Carter made an impression in his only preseason appearance, finishing with 17 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals against Cleveland before an illness kept him out of the final three games. The former No. 13 pick averaged 8.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in 18.4 minutes across 38 games for Sacramento last season. With Derrick White and Payton Pritchard ahead of him, Carter will need injuries or a strong G-League run to carve out much fantasy value.

The Boston Celtics have signed guard Devin Carter to an Exhibit 10 contract, according to the Boston Globe. HoopsHype's Michael Scotto reported that Carter will compete for an NBA roster spot or a two-way opening in camp, while Spotrac's Keith Smith noted the deal can become a standard non-guaranteed contract, convert to a two-way, or send him toward a bonus with Maine. The 24-year-old was waived by Atlanta on Friday after arriving from Sacramento in a June salary-dump trade, leaving the Hawks on the hook for his $5.16 million salary. Carter averaged 8.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in 18.4 minutes across 38 games last season. Boston has 14 standard contracts and two two-ways filled, so Carter is battling camp guards and wings such as Milos Uzan and Tucker DeVries. Even if he sticks, Derrick White, Payton Pritchard, and Mike Conley leave him with no clear fantasy path.

Guard Devin Carter could make sense as backcourt insurance for the New York Knicks once he clears waivers, Kris Pursiainen of Knicks Film School suggested. This comes after Jake Fischer of The Stein Line reported that Boston has shown interest in Carter following his release from Atlanta, so New York should be treated as a logical fit rather than a reported suitor. Carter has a tie to head coach Mike Brown, who coached the Sacramento team that drafted him No. 13 overall in 2024. The 24-year-old averaged 8.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 0.9 steals in 18.4 minutes across 38 games last season. New York already has Jalen Brunson, Jordan Clarkson, Jose Alvarado, Landry Shamet, and Tyler Kolek in the guard mix, but Miles McBride missed 28 games after sports hernia surgery. Carter would still need the right landing spot to become more than a watch-list name.

The Boston Celtics have shown interest in signing guard Devin Carter once he clears waivers, according to The Stein Line's Jake Fischer. Atlanta waived the 24-year-old guard on Friday, a little over two months after acquiring him and a 2033 second-round pick from Sacramento. The former No. 13 pick never found steady footing with the Kings, averaging 8.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.8 three-pointers in 18.4 minutes across 38 games last season. His delayed rookie debut after left shoulder surgery did not help, and left ankle and right calf issues cost him more time in 2025-26. Boston has Derrick White, Payton Pritchard, and Mike Conley ahead of him, with one two-way slot open, so Carter's path would likely be developmental. His 29-point career night in April showed some scoring pop, but there is no immediate fantasy case here.

The Atlanta Hawks have waived guard Devin Carter, HoopsHype's Michael Scotto reports. Atlanta acquired the 13th overall pick of the 2024 draft from Sacramento at the end of June along with a 2033 second-round pick and declined his fourth-year option, valued at $7,370,897 for 2027-28, as part of the transaction. The move was roster math more than evaluation. The Hawks carried 16 guaranteed contracts into Friday and had to reach the 15-man regular-season limit, and cutting Carter got them there without touching the rotation Quin Snyder plans to use. Ryan Nembhard's arrival in the Luguentz Dort deal had already pushed Carter behind CJ McCollum and rookie Kingston Flemings in the guard room. Carter averaged 8.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in 18.4 minutes over 38 games last season, never enough volume to matter in standard leagues. He isn't eligible to re-sign with the Kings, and with two teams having moved on inside a year, his next deal likely comes with G-League time attached.

Sacramento Kings guard Devin Carter is being traded to Atlanta, according to ESPN's Shams Charania. The Hawks are also picking up a second-round pick, although it's unclear if there are any other pieces to the deal. Carter, entering his third season in the NBA, joins a lengthy list of lottery selections by the Kings that didn't pan out. The 24-year-old averaged 8.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in 18.4 minutes per game last season. Atlanta drafted guard Kingston Flemings with the eighth overall pick in this year's draft and retained CJ McCollum, so there doesn't seem to be a spot in the rotation for Carter next season.

Sacramento Kings guard Devin Carter (calf) will remain sidelined Sunday against the Jazz, leaving the Kings thin at point guard with Russell Westbrook (foot) and Malik Monk (ankle) also unavailable. That should keep Killian Hayes in line for extended minutes as Sacramento's only healthy traditional point guard. Hayes posted 11 points, four assists, and one three-pointer in 31 minutes two games ago and could see a similar opportunity again. He remains a low-end fantasy streamer, but the available minutes make him worth consideration in deeper formats. DeMar DeRozan could also see more on-ball creation.

Sacramento Kings guard Devin Carter (calf) will miss Saturday's game against the Clippers, marking his second straight absence due to the injury. With Russell Westbrook back in the lineup, Killian Hayes is expected to handle backup point guard duties, though his fantasy appeal remains limited to low-end assists and occasional steals in a reserve role. Carter being out could help Malik Monk (ankle) hold steady minutes if he's able to suit up. With most fantasy playoffs underway and the season winding down, Carter is becoming a tougher hold outside of deeper formats.

Sacramento Kings guard Devin Carter (back) is available for Wednesday's game against the Rockets after missing one contest. The 23-year-old has carved out a steady rotation role recently, averaging 22.9 minutes across his last eight appearances. In his previous full outing, he posted 11 points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals in 29 minutes against Orlando. With Zach LaVine (finger) and De'Andre Hunter (eye) sidelined, Carter carries streaming appeal for defensive stats and assists. Malik Monk and Nique Clifford should continue seeing elevated backcourt opportunities.

Sacramento Kings guard Devin Carter (back) is out for Monday's game against Memphis after being added late to the injury report with lower-back soreness. His absence should open additional ballhandling and scoring chances in the backcourt. Malik Monk is positioned for a larger offensive role after posting 19 points, six assists, and three triples last game, while Nique Clifford could see steadier involvement as well. Russell Westbrook will continue to initiate the offense. Newly signed Killian Hayes may factor into the rotation, though his role remains uncertain.
