Jakob Poeltl News
San Antonio Spurs center Jakob Poeltl had a strong all-around game in Monday night's 146-125 win over the Milwaukee Bucks. Poeltl scored nine points while tallying 10 rebounds, eight assists, three blocks and a steal. He shot 4-for-8 from the field and didn't commit a single turnover. The eight assists were a season-high for Poeltl, who is averaging just 1.9 assists per game on the year. He's had a great run on the defensive end lately as he's now blocked nine shots over his last three game, while notching at least one steal in each of his past four. Poeltl and the Bucks will be back in action on Wednesday night in what should be a high-scoring affair with the Brooklyn Nets.
San Antonio Spurs center Jakob Poeltl (rest) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the San Antonio Spurs. It's the front end of a back-to-back set, so the Spurs will rest a handful of their starters. Drew Eubanks played extremely well last time Poeltl was sidelined, but fantasy managers shouldn't expect it to happen again. He'll get a much tougher matchup against the Sixers on Sunday. Gorgui Dieng should see minutes in the low 20s, but will only be a deep league streaming option.
San Antonio Spurs center Jakob Poeltl put in a great shift in Thursday's victory over the Pistons, notching a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds and adding four assists and four blocks. He missed just twice from the field with eight attempts and had a 5-for-6 record at the free-throw line. Poeltl has slowly started to become a double-double machine, and he's also a major force on the defensive end having swatted away 15 shots in his past five appearances. He will rumble against the Pelicans next on Saturday, with Steven Adams (ankle) possibly out for New Orleans. The Kiwi exited Thursday's win over the Magic early. Poeltl could have a huge game if Adams isn't in the lineup.
San Antonio Spurs center Jakob Poeltl (rest) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Phoenix Suns. It's the second game of a back-to-back set, so it's not shocking to see the Spurs resting a few of their players. Drew Eubanks and Gorgui Dieng should see more minutes coming their way. Luka Samanic might even jump into the rotation, but none of these players are reliable streaming choices.
