Abdel Nader News
Phoenix Suns small/power forward Abdel Nader has become the latest member of his team to join the league's health and safety protocols, ruling him out indefinitely, beginning Wednesday vs. Oklahoma City. The plan was for Nader to miss Wednesday's game regardless, but a longer absence could now be on tap as he works his way back from a knee ailment. Playing a lightly utilized role within the second unit when healthy, Nader has yet to play more than 18 minutes in an outing this year, keeping him off of fantasy radars in all season-long formats. Cameron Johnson stands to continue seeing a large offensive role for the time being.
Phoenix Suns guard Abdel Nader (knee) is listed as probable for Tuesday's Game 5 matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers. He was able to suit up for Game 4, but played only five minutes during that contest. Nader finished with two rebounds, but this was his first NBA action since late March. Hopefully, Nader will be able to suit up on Tuesday, but don't expect him to play a big role in Phoenix. He'll probably play a handful of minutes if possible, but it's better than nothing.
Phoenix Suns guard Abdel Nader (knee) has been cleared to play and is expected to be available for Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals. The 27-year-old has been absent since March after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery. While conditioning could be an issue, he may be thrust into a larger role against Los Angeles, primarily if Cameron Payne (ankle) can't play and with Monty Williams looking to keep Chris Paul's minutes in check. Nader averaged just 6.7 points during the regular season. However, the upside is certainly there for the DFS managers looking to take a chance in GPP formats.
Phoenix Suns small forward Abdel Nader (knee) had arthroscopic right knee surgery completed Monday, which puts him out for the foreseeable future. Injuries have torpedoed Nader's season, as he has played in just 24 games for the Suns, all of which have come off the bench. Despite having shot a career-best 49.1 percent from the floor (including 41.9 percent from behind the arc), Nader has averaged just 6.7 PPG and had difficulty keeping his spot within the second unit. Check back to see if Phoenix is able to get the defensive-minded wing back by the postseason.
