Jordan Bell News
Houston Rockets forward Jordan Bell has been traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Bruno Caboclo. This is the second time that Bell has been moved in the last two days. Bell isn't expected to see much playing time while Jonas Valanciunas is healthy. Caboclo is someone that can play multiple positions, but will likely be lost in the shuffle in Houston. Both players should be left on the waiver wire for the moment.
Minnesota Timberwolves forward Jordan Bell has been traded to the Houston Rockets in a massive four-team trade. The Rockets are sending Clint Capela and veteran center Nene Hilario to the Atlanta Hawks in this deal. Houston lands defensive forward Robert Covington alongside Bell in this move. Bell hasn't been given much of an opportunity on any team he's been on, but he has a real chance to make a difference in Houston. Isaiah Hartenstein should get more looks at center, but Bell should be able to battle him for minutes. He's not a must-add player right now, but if he gets a solid role in the rotation, Bell could make a difference on this team.
Minnesota Timberwolves power forward/center Jordan Bell will be welcomed back to the rotation for Fridays contest against the Washington Wizards. Bell, who has missed his teams previous five outings due to a right shoulder sprain, has appeared in just four games as a reserve this season. Despite his limited role, Bell will give Minnesota needed frontcourt depth as Andrew Wiggins (personal) is missing Fridays contest. Until the third-year big man sees his 10.6 minutes per game average bumped up, he can likely be passed up on in the vast majority of traditional fantasy formats.
Minnesota Timberwolves point/shooting guard Shabazz Napier and power forward/center Jordan Bell are both unlikely to participate in Wednesdays contest versus the San Antonio Spurs with each man earning a doubtful designation. Both have missed Minnesotas past four games, as Napier deals with a strained right hamstring and Bell battles a strained right shoulder. With fellow point guard Jeff Teague (illness) questionable, Napiers absence likely pushes a larger role on Jarrett Culver. The best chance for either Napier or Bells return likely comes Friday versus Washington.
