Shaedon Sharpe News
Portland Trail Blazers guard Shaedon Sharpe surprised many with his performance this past season. The rookie guard averaged 9.9 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 22.2 minutes per game in 80 contests. The Blazers believe that Sharpe has All-Star potential, which might be true. The 20-year-old played extremely well for the Blazers down the stretch of the season. It seems unlikely that the Blazers would be willing to move Sharpe unless it's for a superstar player in return. It sounds like Sharpe has a bright future ahead of him in Portland.
Portland Trail Blazers guard/forward Shaedon Sharpe has announced that he feels like he's ready to be a starter next season. He said it in his exit interview after the 19-year-old had completed his rookie campaign with an 18-point effort in a 157-101 loss to Golden State. He also had seven rebounds and four assists in the game with one steal. With a number of players dropping out of the lineup, Sharpe was able to finish the season as a starter and had 15 games in total in the starting unit. He put up 18.5 points in these outings with 4.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists. These are very good numbers, but Sharpe made only one start next to Damian Lillard, so there's no guarantee that he can keep up the same productivity if he indeed breaks into the starting lineup for the 2023-24 campaign.
Portland Trail Blazers guard/forward Shaedon Sharpe (knee) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Spurs. The 19-year-old is on the injury report with left knee tendinopathy and might have to sit out Thursday's action after putting together a very impressive run of performances. With Portland missing multiple players, Sharpe has become the first option on the team, averaging 24.1 points across the last eight games. Shaquille Harrison is a strong candidate to step into the starting unit Thursday if Sharpe is out and could be an intriguing option for fantasy managers, with the Blazers very short of options.
Portland Trail Blazers guard Shaedon Sharpe posted his second consecutive game of 27 points on Sunday while leading the team to a two-point upset win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. The rookie added six rebounds, six assists, and just one turnover to his 27 points on 9-for-19 shooting. Two of his made shots were from deep and he also threw in seven of nine free throws. Over the last two weeks, Sharpe has produced enough to be a top 70 fantasy asset and his value keeps growing in dynasty leagues.
