Stephen Curry to Sit Out At Least Two More Games

Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry (knee) will miss at least two more games, ESPN's Anthony Slater and Shams Charania report. He isn't ready to make his comeback on Friday night against Washington and will also miss Sunday's matchup with the Denver Nuggets. Curry will be re-evaluated next week. Until the former MVP returns to the lineup, Brandin Podziemski and Gui Santos will lead the Warriors' offense. His absence has also led to increased playing time for Pat Spencer, Gary Payton II, and Will Richard.

Stephen Curry Won't Return on Wednesday

Anthony Slater of ESPN.com reports that Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry (knee) won't play on Wednesday against the Brooklyn Nets as he continues recovering from right knee soreness. Curry has been out of action since the beginning of February and it's unclear when he will return. Slater also noted that the 38-year-old hopes to participate in a scrimmage in the near future and see how the knee feels. In the meantime, Brandin Podziemski and De'Anthony Melton should continue seeing expanded backcourt roles and streaming appeal. Both guards offer fantasy value for scoring and assists.

Stephen Curry to Miss Next Two Games

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry (knee) will miss the team's next two games as he continues recovering from right knee soreness, with another evaluation scheduled when the team returns home Tuesday. Curry has begun increasing his on-court workload and could be nearing a return if that checkup goes well. In the meantime, Brandin Podziemski and De'Anthony Melton should continue seeing expanded backcourt roles and streaming appeal. Both guards offer fantasy value for scoring and assists, while Draymond Green may also handle more playmaking responsibilities during Curry's absence.

Stephen Curry Hopes to Return Before End of Month

According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the Golden State Warriors are hopeful that guard Stephen Curry (knee) will return before the end of March. Curry has been out of action since the beginning of February due to a right knee injury. He's recently ramped up his on-court activity, but it appears the star guard will still be considered week-to-week. The 38-year-old's continued absence will keep the backcourt usage spread across Brandin Podziemski, Pat Spencer, Gary Payton II (lower leg), De'Anthony Melton and Will Richard.

Stephen Curry Expected to Miss 10 More Days

According to Shams Charania of ESPN, Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry (knee) is expected to miss at least 10 more days. His ailing right knee will keep him out of action for at least five more games. The superstar guard has already missed 15 consecutive contests. Curry has participated in on-court workouts and will likely ramp up his activities soon. The 37-year-old's continued absence will keep the backcourt usage spread across Brandin Podziemski, Pat Spencer, Gary Payton II, LJ Cryer, and Will Richard. Spencer finished with 17 points, six assists, three rebounds, and one steal across 30 minutes against the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday, and he could continue to be productive with extended minutes.

Stephen Curry Out at Least Five More Games

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry (knee) will be re-evaluated in 10 days, ruling him out for at least the next five games. Curry has already missed 10 straight contests with what he described as an unpredictable right knee issue. His absence keeps the backcourt usage spread across Brandin Podziemski, De'Anthony Melton, and Pat Spencer. Podziemski logged 30 minutes with nine points, seven rebounds, and six assists in the last game, while Melton added 10 points and four assists. Podziemski is the safest hold, Melton remains a mid-tier option, and Spencer is a deeper-league assist streamer.

Stephen Curry Sidelined Again on Thursday

ESPN's Shams Charania reports that Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry (knee) is unavailable to suit up on Thursday against the Boston Celtics. Curry will be held out of action due to a knee issue. An MRI taken on Wednesday showed no structural damage, but the 37-year-old still has swelling and there isn't a clear timetable on when he will return. While Curry is out, the Warriors will have to continue to rely on Brandin Podziemski and Pat Spencer to take on extended minutes.

Stephen Curry Remains Out Thursday

Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry (knee) will miss a sixth consecutive game on Thursday against the Boston Celtics. Curry was unable to practice on Wednesday because he did not "feel right," according to Warriors head coach Steve Kerr. After practice, Kerr suggested Curry might undergo a second MRI on his right knee. Pat Spencer and Gui Santos have stepped up during Curry's absence, though Kristaps Porzingis' (Achilles) likely return on Thursday will have a significant impact on the rotation.

Stephen Curry Expected to Scrimmage Wednesday

Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry (knee) is expected to participate in a team scrimmage on Wednesday, ESPN's Anthony Slater reports. The team will then determine his status for Thursday's matchup with the Boston Celtics. Curry has been dealing with runner's knee and sat out the final five games before the All-Star break. Due to the issue, the two-time MVP was also unable to play in the All-Star Game on Sunday. Pat Spencer has been starting at point guard during Curry's absence, averaging 14.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 1.2 steals over the last five games.
