Tyrese Haliburton Expects to Return in 15 Months

Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton (Achilles) expects to be back playing next season. "I think it'll be 15 months until I play my next game," Haliburton said during an appearance on the Impaulsive podcast. The Pacers already ruled out Haliburton for the entire 2025-26 campaign after he had offseason surgery on his right Achilles tendon. Recently, Haliburton revealed that he is no longer using a scooter or crutches, marking another step forward in his recovery. Halliburton's absence will give Andrew Nembhard an increased offensive role this season, and Bennedict Mathurin has an opportunity to show what he can do as a regular starter.

Tyrese Haliburton No Longer Using a Scooter, Crutches

Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton (Achilles) is making progress toward an eventual return to the court. The 25-year-old suffered a torn right Achilles tendon during the Game 7 NBA Finals loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, resulting in surgery. He will miss the entire 2025 campaign. However, there is some good news, with Haliburton recently revealing that he's no longer using a scooter or crutches. Instead, he's been able to walk in a boot. The 2020 No. 12 overall pick averaged 18.6 points, 9.2 assists, 1.4 steals, and 38.8% shooting from behind the arc last season. He won't receive any attention in redraft formats heading into the new season due to the injury. Still, managers in dynasty leagues shouldn't consider any low-ball offers, especially since Haliburton is predicted to remain in the All-Star conversation for many years moving ahead. While he's off the floor, Andrew Nembhard could see a bump in usage at the one. Bennedict Mathurin should also be in line for an increase in fantasy production, considering he's slotted to move into the starting lineup.

Tyrese Haliburton to Miss Entire 2025-26 Campaign

Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton (Achilles) will sit out the entire 2025-26 NBA campaign after having surgery to repair a torn right Achilles tendon. "I have no doubt that he will be back better than ever," Pacers president Kevin Pritchard said Monday. "The surgery went well. It was a little higher and he gets more blood to that [as he recovers]. He will not play next year though. We would not jeopardize that now. So don't get any hopes up that he will play." It's unfortunate that Haliburton will miss the whole season, but it makes no sense for the Pacers to rush him back. With Haliburton on the shelf, Andrew Nembhard and T.J. McConnell will share the playmaking duties in the Pacers' backcourt.

Tyrese Haliburton Expected to Undergo Surgery After Suffering Achilles Injury

According to Grant Afseth of RG.org, Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton (Achilles) will travel to New York City on Monday and is expected to undergo surgery to repair a torn right Achilles tendon. Haliburton exited the first quarter of Sunday's 103-91 loss to the Thunder in Game 7 of the NBA Finals after suffering the injury. He finished with nine points in seven minutes of action before being forced out of the contest. The 25-year-old could miss the entire 2025-26 regular season as recovery time is typically 9-12 months after Achilles surgery. With Haliburton out for the foreseeable future, shooting guard Andrew Nembhard will likely take on a larger role for the upcoming season.

Tyrese Haliburton Won't Return to Game 7, Dealing with Achilles Injury

Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton (Achilles) won't return to Sunday's NBA Finals meeting with OKC. The 25-year-old has been dealing with a calf issue, which is nothing new. As a result, he was limited to only 23 minutes in Game 6. While Haliburton tried to give it a go for Game 7, it's evident he's not healthy. He finished with nine points in seven minutes of action before exiting. There is concern for a more significant injury, with ESPN's Lisa Salters reporting that Haliburton is dealing with an Achilles issue. He'll likely undergo further testing as soon as possible. However, if Haliburton suffered a torn Achilles, he could miss the 2025-26 campaign. DFS managers should expect more work for T.J. McConnell for the remainder of Game 7.

Tyrese Haliburton Helps the Pacers Push the Thunder to Game 7

Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton (calf) was able to play in Game 6 and only needed to play 23 minutes to help his team get the win it needed to extend the NBA Finals to a Game 7 on Sunday. He finished with 14 points, five assists, two steals, and one rebound and had an impressive +25 plus/minus in his 23 minutes on the floor. He hit some big shots to help the Pacers take control in the second quarter, and the team was able to manage his minutes since they extended the lead and were never truly challenged in the second half. Haliburton is playing through a calf injury that may have cost him multiple weeks in the regular season, but he was strong enough to play Game 6 and will almost certainly suit up again in Game 7 to attempt to secure his team the Championship.

Tyrese Haliburton Officially Questionable for Game 6

Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton (calf) is officially questionable for Thursday's NBA Finals matchup with the Thunder. It was reported early on Wednesday that he would be a game-time call for Game 6. While it's an encouraging sign that Haliburton at least appears to have a chance to suit up, he could continue to struggle if he gets the green light, much like he did on Monday night. If the 25-year-old can't get on the floor, Pascal Siakam, who is coming off a 28-point effort, would be the favorite to get most of the scoring opportunities. Andrew Nembhard may also have the ball in his hands more often, with T.J. McConnell and Bennedict Mathurin in line to see more minutes as well.

Tyrese Haliburton to Be a Game-Time Call Thursday

Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton (calf) is expected to be a game-time decision for Thursday's Game 6 of the NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder. "He is going to be carefully evaluated over the next 36 hours and will likely be listed as questionable on the injury report and probably will be a game-time decision for Game 6," Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle told Indianapolis radio station 107.5 The Fan on Wednesday morning. On Tuesday, it was reported that Haliburton is set to undergo an MRI to determine the severity of a right calf strain. Indiana's star guard struggled in Game 5 but has had a decent series overall, averaging 15.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, 7.2 assists, and 1.2 steals. If he is unavailable on Thursday, the Pacers must rely more on veteran playmaker T.J. McConnell, who is coming off a solid Game 5 effort. In 22 minutes, he amassed 18 points, four rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

Tyrese Haliburton Determined to Battle Through Calf Injury

Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton played through a calf injury in Monday's Game 5 of the NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder and has no plans to sit out Thursday's Game 6. "It's the Finals," Haliburton said. "I've worked my whole life to be here and I want to be out there to compete, help my teammates any way I can. I was not great tonight by any means, but it's not really a thought of mine to not play here. If I can walk, then I want to play." Haliburton failed to make a field goal in Monday's 120-109 loss, finishing with four points, seven rebounds, and six assists. He has also been dealing with a right ankle injury during the Finals.

Tyrese Haliburton Struggles in Friday's Loss to OKC

Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton struggled in Friday's loss to OKC. He had 18 points, his second-highest mark of the NBA Finals. However, after going 4-for-8 from downtown in Game 3, the 25-year-old made just one of his seven tries from behind the arc in Game 4. Haliburton is now averaging 17.8 points, 7.5 assists, and 6.0 rebounds throughout the series. He has also improved on the defensive end. Unfortunately, Haliburton hasn't been consistent offensively. In addition, he has amassed at least four turnovers in the last three contests, making him a somewhat risky DFS option for Game 5 on Monday evening.
