Chris Conley Re-Signs With The Niners

Free-agent wide receiver Chris Conley agreed to a one-year deal with the 49ers on Saturday. The journeyman wideout has played for five teams throughout his career, making stops in Kansas City, Jacksonville, Houston, and Tennessee before appearing in eight regular season games for San Francisco in 2023-24. He finished the year by catching just three passes (six targets) for 69 yards while failing to find the end zone. The 49ers still have Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, and Brandon Aiyuk as their primary receivers, so Conley will continue to have a tough time getting looks from Brock Purdy, meaning he won't see much attention from fantasy managers heading into the 2024-25 campaign.

Chris Conley Leads 49ers In Receiving In Week 18

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Chris Conley got his only action of the season in the team's 21-20 home loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. With starters Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel resting for the majority of the game, the 31-year-old journeyman took advantage of his opportunity to the tune of three receptions on six targets for 69 yards. Both the target and yardage total paced the 49ers while tying for the team lead in receptions. While it was a nice showcase, it would be a surprise if Conley were to become fantasy-relevant in the future.

Chris Conley Promoted Ahead Of Week 13

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Chris Conley has been elevated from the practice squad ahead of the Week 13 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. The veteran wideout has only made two appearances with the 49ers this season. He was barely involved, playing a total of 16 snaps during those games. His promotion to the active roster means the 49ers are likely going to be without Ray-Ray McCloud (ribs) for Sunday's game. The expectation is that Conley will serve as depth and won't be worth a look in fantasy formats.

Chris Conley Signs One-Year Deal With 49ers

Veteran free-agent wide receiver Chris Conley signed an undisclosed one-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers on Monday, according to a source. Conley visited with the team on Friday. The former Kansas City Chiefs receiver has also spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans. He spent time with the Texans and Titans in 2022 and finished with only four receptions for 46 times in nine games (one start). The 30-year-old's most productive campaign came in 2019 with the Jaguars, when he caught 47 of his 90 targets for 775 yards and five touchdowns in 16 games (14 starts). In San Fran, Conley will compete to serve as pass-catching depth behind Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel and Jauan Jennings.

Chris Conley Joins Active Roster

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Chris Conley has been signed from the practice squad to the active roster on Saturday. The veteran wideout will rejoin the team with Treylon Burks (concussion) sidelined for their upcoming Week 14 matchup. The 30-year-old helped fill the void for three weeks earlier in the season when Burks was out. He didn't record any receptions during those games and it's unlikely he does much this time around. Fantasy managers can ignore Conley in this upcoming matchup versus the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Titans Sign Chris Conley

The Tennessee Titans are signing wide receiver Chris Conley off the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad on Tuesday, according to a source. Conley began the year with the Houston Texans and is now on his third AFC team since the season opener. He played just two games with Houston and didn't catch either of his two targets before being released and latching on with KC, who he began his career with in 2015 after being taken in the third round out of the University of Georgia. The 30-year-old had his best season in 2019 with the Jacksonville Jaguars, catching 47 of 90 targets for 775 yards and five touchdowns in 16 games. Conley will add depth to a thin Tennessee receiving corps, but he should remain well off the fantasy radar in the Titans run-first offense.

Texans Release Chris Conley

The Houston Texans released wide receiver Chris Conley on Friday to make room for newly signed tight end O.J. Howard on the active roster. In his lone season with Houston last year, Conley caught 22 of his 37 targets for 323 yards and only two touchdowns in 16 games (10 starts). The 29-year-old former third-round pick by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2015 will be looking to find work with another NFL team before the start of Week 1 of the regular season next week. The Texans receiver depth chart currently has Brandin Cooks at the top, followed by Nico Collins, Chris Moore, Tyler Johnson and Phillip Dorsett.

Texans Move On From Chris Conley

Houston Texans wide receiver Chris Conley was released by the organization on Tuesday. He re-signed with the team in March, but apparently didn't show enough to warrant keeping on the roster. Now, the Texans only have four active wide receivers on their roster as they head into Week 1. Possibly, the team decides to bring back Conley after they make some other moves. Last season, Conley finished with 22 receptions, 323 receiving yards, and two touchdowns in 16 games (10 starts) with the Texans. He'll likely be scooped up pretty fast, assuming the Texans don't plan on bringing him back. There isn't much weekly fantasy value in Conley, but he's a nice depth option at wideout.

Chris Conley Re-Signs With Texans

Houston Texans wide receiver Chris Conley won't be headed far this offseason. In fact, the 29-year-old has decided to re-sign with the organization with a new one year deal. He finished with 22 receptions, 323 receiving yards, and two touchdowns in 16 games (10 starts) with the Texans last season. Second-year receiver Nico Collins passed Conley on the depth chart last season. He's expected to start the season as the No. 2 with Brandin Cooks as their primary option. That being said, Conley doesn't have a ton of upside as the third option on this below average offense.

Chris Conley Inactive, Chris Moore Active In Week 18

Houston Texans wide receiver Chris Conley (knee) and tight end Jordan Akins (illness) are inactive for the Week 18 regular season finale against the Tennessee Titans. Meanwhile, receiver Chris Moore (illness) is active. Conley will finish the year with just 22 catches for 323 yards and two touchdowns on 37 targets in 16 games played in his first year in Houston. Moore and Danny Amendola could see bigger roles on Sunday with Conley sidelined, but fantasy managers shouldn't trust any Texans receiver not named Brandin Cooks, who is the target hog of this passing attack. Rookie Nico Collins has the most upside beyond Cooks, but he's strictly been a dynasty/keeper stash in Houston's low-scoring offense.
