Malik Turner News

Packers Sign Malik Turner

For the second day in a row, the Green Bay Packers have added a wide receiver. This time, it's former Seahawks wideout Malik Turner, who had 15 catches for 245 yards last season. Turner's much more likely to play a role on this team than the other addition, Travis Fulgham, but he still faces an uphill battle to be a fantasy-relevant part of this roster in 2020. Still, Green Bay is fairly shallow at receiver, so Turner could end up as the team's No. 3 wide receiver by the time the regular season rolls around.

Malik Turner Becomes Free Agent

The Seattle Seahawks withdrew their exclusive-rights tender on wide receiver Malik Turner on Tuesday, making him a free agent. Turner has just 17 catches on 25 targets for 265 yards (15.6 yards per catch) and one touchdown in 21 games (three starts) for the Seahawks in the last two seasons after going undrafted out of Illinois. The 24-year-old wideout had 15 receptions (22 targets) for 245 yards and a touchdown in 15 games (three starts) for Seattle in 2019. He'll likely just be a depth piece at the position for any team that picks him up off the open market.

Seahawks Tender Malik Turner

The Seattle Seahawks tendered restricted free-agent wide receiver Malik Turner on Tuesday, giving him the minimum salary of $750,000. Turner caught 15 passes for 245 yards and a touchdown in 15 games in his second NFL season. The 24-year-old has 17 catches for 265 yards and the one score after his first two seasons. He plays sparingly in a run-first offense and is behind the likes of Tyler Lockett, D.K. Metcalf and David Moore on the current depth chart, so Turner has little to no fantasy value entering the 2020 season.
