Seahawks To Sign Robert Turbin, Marshawn Lynch May Be Next
The Seattle Seahawks are expected to sign running back Robert Turbin and are still working on a deal to add Marshawn Lynch, according to sources. Both Turbin (2012-14) and Lynch 2010-15 will be reuniting with the Seahawks after they've lost Chris Carson (hip), Rashaad Penny (knee) and C.J. Prosise (arm) in recent weeks. Turbin and Lynch will join sixth-round rookie Travis Homer in the backfield for Week 17 against the 49ers and into the postseason. It's a feel-good story for both, especially Beast Mode, who won a Super Bowl with Seattle and posted four straight 1,000-yard seasons with double-digit touchdowns with the Seahawks. It remains to be seen who will lead this backfield in Week 17 in a tough matchup, but it could very well be a three-headed committee monster. Against one of the best defenses against the run in 2019, it might be best to avoid this situation entirely in fantasy.
Indianapolis Colts running back Robert Turbin (shoulder) got in a full practice on Thursday after being limited on Wednesday. Turbin hasn't played since Oct. 14 but seems primed to be available in Week 10 against the Jaguars. Still, he's fourth on the depth chart behind Marlon Mack and rookies Nyheim Hines and Jordan Wilkins when he's healthy. Turbin has only four carries and one reception in two games in 2018.
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Ryan Grant (ankle) and running back Robert Turbin (shoulder) were both limited in practice on Wednesday. It looks like the bye week treated them well and they appear to be on track to play in Week 10 against the Jaguars. Grant hasn't played since Oct. 14 and will likely be behind T.Y. Hilton, Chester Rogers and even Dontrelle Inman in the passing attack, so you can leave him on waivers. Turbin is similarly buried on the running back depth chart behind Marlon Mack and rookies Nyheim Hines and Jordan Wilkins.
Indianapolis Colts running back Robert Turbin (shoulder), who suffered a dislocated shoulder two weeks ago, is hoping to return after the team's Week 9 bye. When healthy, Turbin is fourth on the running back depth chart behind Marlon Mack, Nyheim Hines and Jordan Wilkins, so he can remain on the waiver wire in fantasy leagues.
Ryan Grant, Robert Turbin, Adam Vinatieri Not Practicing
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Ryan Grant (ankle), running back Robert Turbin (shoulder) and kicker Adam Vinatieri (groin) are all missing practice on Wednesday. Grant and Turbin both sat out in Week 7 and could miss another game. Grant is waiver wire fodder with T.Y. Hilton returning to action last Sunday. Turbin is fourth on the depth chart behind Marlon Mack and rookies Nyheim Hines and Jordan Wilkins, so he's off the fantasy radar to begin with. Vinatieri aggravated his groin injury in Week 7 and seems unlikely to play this Sunday against the Raiders with the team working out kickers this week. If you own Vinatieri, plan to go in another direction this week.
Ryan Grant, Jack Doyle, Robert Turbin Ruled Out For Week 7
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Ryan Grant (ankle), tight end Jack Doyle (hip) and running back Robert Turbin (shoulder) have been ruled out for Week 7 against the Bills. The good news is that the Colts could be getting T.Y. Hilton back for this game. Grant and Doyle both belong on the waiver wire in most leagues. Chester Rogers will once again be in play as a WR4/flex this weekend. Eric Ebron has taken full advantage of his opportunities with Doyle out the last four games, and he'll remain a strong TE1 play. Turbin could be dealing with a multi-week absence. He wasn't much of a fantasy option to begin with while being fourth on the depth chart at the position. Marlon Mack is the most attractive fantasy option in the Colts backfield, although rookie Nyheim Hines has some deep PPR flex appeal.
Indianapolis Colts running back Robert Turbin (shoulder) did not practice on Wednesday. Turbin went down with what looked to be a serious shoulder injury in Week 6, so we wouldn't be surprised if he's unable to play this Sunday against the Bills. He has just four carries for 10 yards on the year and also has lost a fumble. Continue to leave him on the waiver wire as the No. 4 running back on the depth chart for Indy.
Indianapolis Colts running back Robert Turbin (shoulder) left the game early in Week 6 against the Jets and is questionable to return. Turbin surprisingly was tied with Marlon Mack with four carries in the first half, but he had just 10 yards (2.5 yards per carry) and also lost a fumble. Hopefully fantasy owners didn't start Turbin to begin with. Indy's backfield is a lot more complicated now that Mack is back, and rookies Jordan Wilkins and Nyheim Hines are also available.
Robert Turbin's Role Would Be "Very Limited" vs. New England
Indianapolis Colts running back Robert Turbin will return from a four-game suspension in Week 5 when the team takes on the New England Patriots, but Mike Chappell of CBS Sports believes Turbin's role "will be very limited" if he does play. If Chappell is right and Turbin's role is relegated to "third-and-short" scenarios, his fantasy upside will be significantly limited. Even if presumed lead back Marlon Mack is unable to go, it is all but certain that the Colts will implement a committee approach on Thursday night leaving no real useful fantasy asset on the ground.
Indianapolis Colts running back Robert Turbin (ankle) is week-to-week with an ankle injury, according to head coach Frank Reich. The Colts were hit hard by injuries in the preseason opener on Thursday, as they lost rookie wideout Deon Cain for the season with a knee injury, and Marlon Mack (hamstring) is also week-to-week. Turbin will be suspended for the first four games of the season, too, so this adds injury to insult. He could have a short-yardage/goal-line role when he returns in Week 5, but with Mack and rookies Nyheim Hines and Jordan Wilkins ahead of him, Turbin will be fighting for scraps at that point.
