Cowboys Decline Terrance Williams' Option

The Dallas Cowboys declined the option on wide receiver Terrance Williams for the 2019 season on Monday, making him an unrestricted free agent in March, according to sources. Williams, 29, played in just three games in 2018 due to injury and a suspension and had two catches for 18 yards. He was never much of a contributor in Dallas' offense and hasn't scored a touchdown since 2016. Even if Williams latches on with another team, he's unlikely to be on the fantasy radar.

Terrance Williams Suspended Three Games

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrance Williams has been suspended by the NFL for three games after he was arrested for public intoxication and leaving the scene of an accident in May, according to a source. Williams is also currently on Injured Reserve with a foot injury, so he is well off the fantasy radar.

Terrance Williams Put On Injured Reserve

The Dallas Cowboys placed wide receiver Terrance Williams (foot) on Injured Reserve on Saturday. Williams has battled his injury and off-field injuries this year and hasn't made an impact on the field, catching both of his targets for only 18 yards in three games played. With Williams out of the picture, it should help rookie Michael Gallup stay on the field more, but that won't guarantee more production in one of the worst passing games in football.

Terrance Williams Will Not Play in Week 5

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrance Williams is out for Week 5 due to a foot injury. In three games this season, Williams has caught two passes for 18 yards. That's it. It seems entirely possible that the Cowboys could have not ruled him out, had him not play, and no one would have noticed. He's miles from fantasy relevance in any format.

Terrance Williams, Sean Lee Not Practicing

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrance Williams (personal) and linebacker Sean Lee (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. Williams sat out of Week 4 due to personal reasons and might sit out again Sunday night against the Texans. Lee is set to miss his second straight game and is likely to miss Week 6 as well. Williams has two catches on three targets for 18 yards in three games this year and belongs on waiver wires in all leagues. Lee is a dynamic playmaker when healthy, but he just can't avoid the injury bug.

Brice Butler Active, Terrance Williams Inactive

The Dallas Cowboys are making wide receiver Brice Butler active for Sunday's meeting with the Lions and deactivating wide receiver Terrance Williams. While the move has no impact in most leagues, anyone in deep leagues who had been holding onto Williams in hopes he emerged from the muck that is the Dallas receiving corp can safely move on from the former Baylor receiver.

Terrance Williams Shouldn't Be on Fantasy Rosters

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrance Williams has no place on a fantasy roster at this point. Through three games, Williams has made two catches for 18 yards. He wasn't even targeted in Week 3. While he may indeed play a vital role on the field blocking for Ezekiel "The Dallas Offense" Elliott, Williams hasn't done anything to show he can contribute at all in fantasy this season. He can be dropped in all formats, as there is surely someone who was targeted at least once last week on the waiver wire.

Terrance Williams Not Even Targeted in Week 3

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrance Williams was not even targeted in the passing game on Sunday. He only ended up playing on nine of the team's offensive snaps. On a team with a weak passing game, a guy who can't even see the field won't ever have any fantasy relevance.

Terrance Williams Facing Suspension

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrance Williams is facing a suspension from the league in the range of two to four games, according to sources. Since no decision has been reached at this stage, it's unlikely the NFL will take any action before the team's Week 3 game against the Seahawks. The potential suspension stems from an episode in May when Williams was arrested for public intoxication, and it's part of the reason why the team signed Brice Butler earlier in the week. Williams has been a non-factor in real football and fantasy through two weeks, catching just two passes on three targets for 18 yards. Allen Hurns and rookie Michael Gallup have yet to step up outside of Cole Beasley as the leading receiver in this struggling receiver group. Deonte Thompson should have more opportunities if Williams is suspended, but he doesn't warrant a waiver addition.

Terrance Williams Shouldn't Be In Any Lineups for Week 3

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrance Williams shouldn't be starting in any fantasy lineups for Week 3. Williams has caught two passes for 18 yards so far this season, despite being on the field for most of the first two games. The Cowboys offense simply isn't working outside of running back Ezekiel Elliott. None of the Dallas receivers are fantasy options this week and likely won't be any time soon.
