Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brice Butler (leg) left practice with what appeared to be a leg injury on Tuesday. The Dolphins also previously lost receiver Ricardo Louis (knee) for the season due to a knee injury this offseason. Butler has been competing with undrafted rookies Preston Williams and Trenton Irwin, Isaiah Ford and Reece Horn for the final two wide receiver spots on the roster. Butler can be left alone in all fantasy leagues for now. It's unclear if his injury is serious enough to keep him out into training camp.
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brice Butler had his most involved game as a Dolphin in Miami's 21-17 win over Buffalo in Week 13. Butler caught four passes on four targets for 25 yards. Butler was signed to provide depth for Miami, as the Dolphins have seen their receiving corps get decimated by injury this season. Butler is merely a healthy, veteran receiver for Miami and doesn't have any fantasy value next week against New England.
The Miami Dolphins signed free-agent wide receiver Brice Butler on Wednesday. In two games for the Cowboys this year, Butler missed his only target in the passing game. He had 15 catches on 24 targets for 317 yards and three touchdowns with Dallas in 2017 in 13 games. Butler will help with depth while Devante Parker and Jakeem Grant are dealing with injuries, but he's a long shot to return any kind of fantasy value the rest of the year.
The Dallas Cowboys released wide receiver Brice Butler on Monday in order to make room on the roster after they acquired Amari Cooper from the Raiders for a first-round pick. Butler missed his only target this year for Dallas in just two games. Cooper will immediately become the team's No. 1 wideout, but he'll have to learn a new offense and could remain hit or miss for fantasy owners in the short term. His presence will undoubtedly hurt the already low ceilings of receivers Cole Beasley, Allen Hurns and rookie Michael Gallup.
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Brice Butler (groin) practiced in full all week and is no longer on the Week 7 injury report against the Redskins after sitting out in Week 6. While Butler could see a role against Washington, he has yet to catch a pass in 2018 and would be behind Allen Hurns, Cole Beasley, rookie Michael Gallup and Deonte Thompson in one of the worst passing offenses in football, so you can continue ignoring him.
Dallas Cowboys wide receivers Deonte Thompson (hamstring) and Brice Butler (groin) were both added to the injury report on Friday as limited practice participants and are questionable for Week 6 against the Jaguars. Both Thompson and Butler are depth for what has become the league's worst receiving corps. Thompson has caught 11 of his 16 targets for 102 yards, while Butler has yet to catch a pass this year. Both can continue being ignored for fantasy purposes.
The Dallas Cowboys are making wide receiver Brice Butler active for Sunday's meeting with the Lions and deactivating wide receiver Terrance Williams. While the move has no impact in most leagues, anyone in deep leagues who had been holding onto Williams in hopes he emerged from the muck that is the Dallas receiving corp can safely move on from the former Baylor receiver.
Free-agent wide receiver Brice Butler Tweeted on Tuesday that he has signed with the Dallas Cowboys. Butler played the last three years with the Cowboys but was released by the Cardinals on Sept. 1. He could be a deep threat for quarterback Dak Prescott. Butler caught 15 passes for 317 yards and three touchdowns in 13 games for the Cowboys last season. He'll give them more depth behind Cole Beasley, Allen Hurns, Terrance Williams, rookie Michael Gallup, Tavon Austin and Deonte Thompson.
Free-agent wide receiver Brice Butler worked out for the Oakland Raiders on Monday. The Raiders are looking for more receiver depth after releasing Martavis Bryant over the weekend, but they already added veteran Brandon LaFell on a one-year deal. Butler was a surprising cut by the Cardinals but should latch on with another team soon.
The Arizona Cardinals have cut wide receiver Brice Butler as part of their final roster cuts of the season. Butler was expected to fight for a position with the starters; however, performances from rookie Trent Sherfield ensured that there was no space for Butler on the team. This helps the case for Christian Kirk and Chad Williams, who both project to be flex options for an ascending offense playing alongside veteran wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald.
