Brady Tkachuk Officially Available Friday

Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk (thumb) has been activated from Injured Reserve and will end a 20-game absence on Friday against the St. Louis Blues. He will replace Lars Eller in the top six, with the Danish veteran set to center the fourth line on Friday. Tkachuk, who grew up in St. Louis, has posted eight points (four goals, four assists) in 11 career games against the Blues, but has finished three consecutive road outings in the matchup scoreless.

Brady Tkachuk Aims to Return Friday

Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk (thumb) is set to return to action on Friday against the St. Louis Blues. The Senators captain announced his plan to return on the "Wingmen" podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother, Matthews Tkachuk (groin) of the Florida Panthers. "We have to check some boxes but everything looks good for Friday," Tkachuk said. Tkachuk underwent thumb surgery on Oct. 16 after making only three appearances this season. On Friday, Tkachuk is likely to land straight back on the top line and the first power-play unit.

Brady Tkachuk to Miss 6-8 Weeks After Having Thumb Surgery

Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk (thumb) will be shelved for six to eight weeks after he had surgery on his right thumb, the team announced on Thursday. The Senators captain sustained the injury in Monday's battle against the Nashville Predators and will miss a second consecutive game on Thursday versus the Seattle Kraken. Following surgery, he's looking at a minimum 20-game absence. This is a huge blow for the Senators, who can count on Tkachuk to make a big impact on both ends of the ice. On Wednesday, Michael Amadio took on a first-line role against the Buffalo Sabres, and David Perron could also see more ice time in the coming weeks.

Brady Tkachuk Expected to Miss at Least One Month

Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk (wrist) will miss at least one month of action, according to head coach Travis Green. "He's going to miss a significant amount of time," Green said Tuesday. "We'll know more in the next 24 hours. We don't know exactly, but it's four weeks plus. We don't know exactly." Tkachuk hurt his right wrist during Monday's contest against the Nashville Predators. Across the first three games of the season, Tkachuk has amassed three assists with 10 shots and 10 hits. Losing Tkachuk is a tough blow for Ottawa, but the team will at least have Drake Batherson (upper body) back in the lineup Wednesday versus the Buffalo Sabres.

Brady Tkachuk Suffers Injury in Monday's Loss

Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk (undisclosed) didn't finish Monday's 4-1 loss to the Nashville Predators, Sportsnet's Alex Adams reports. The Senators captain was injured on a cross-check from Predators defenseman Roman Josi in the first period. Tkachuk was initially able to play through the injury, but didn't see any ice time during the final nine minutes of play. Senators head coach Travis Green told reporters postgame that Tkachuk's exit wasn't for precautionary reasons. Losing Tkachuk for any length of time would be a major blow for Ottawa. More details about his injury should be known before Wednesday's game against the Buffalo Sabres.

Brady Tkachuk Extends Point Streak To Four Games

Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk had a big night in Tuesday's Game 5 against the Toronto Maple Leafs, racking up three points in a 4-0 victory. The Senators fought off elimination, with their captain leading the way by scoring one goal and providing two assists. Tkachuk and Tim Stutzle (one goal, two assists) became the first players in franchise history to post as many as three points in a game when the team faced elimination. The series has been tough for Ottawa, but Tkachuk has enjoyed the occasion. He will head into Thursday's Game 6 with a four-game point streak. Overall, Tkachuk has registered six points (three goals, three assists) in his first five career postseason games, firing off 20 shots and delivering 22 hits.

Brady Tkachuk Makes Early Exit For Precautionary Reasons

Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk (undisclosed) logged only 10:37 of ice time on Thursday against the Carolina Hurricanes as he returned from an eight-game absence. The power forward, who missed a couple of weeks due to an upper-body injury, sat out the final period of play in a 7-5 victory. Fortunately, it was announced after the game that Tkachuk exited for precautionary reasons. The Senators captain should be good to go for Game 1 against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday. Tkachuk will make his Stanley Cup Playoffs debut in the contest. During the regular season, Tkachuk posted only one point in three meetings with the Maple Leafs. He closed the campaign with a team-high 27 goals and tallied 55 points in 72 appearances.

Brady Tkachuk Returns To Senators Lineup Thursday

Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk (upper body) will end an eight-game absence on Thursday against the Carolina Hurricanes. The Senators captain aims to get some rhythm before the postseason starts, promising to "play 100 percent." Tkachuk leads Ottawa with 29 goals and 227 hits, while being tied for third with 55 points in 71 games. The Senators plan to have all their big guns out for the regular-season finale, meaning Tkachuk will skate alongside Tim Stutzle and Claude Giroux on the first line and will be the net-front presence on the first power-play unit.

Brady Tkachuk To Be Ready For Start Of Playoffs

Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk (upper body) will be good to go for the start of the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs, head coach Travis Green confirmed on Monday. The Senators captain has missed seven games since sustaining an upper-body injury from a hit by Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Ryan Graves on March 30. On Monday, Tkachuk practiced with the team for the first time since getting hurt. He wore a non-contact jersey and took line rushes alongside Tim Stutzle and Fabian Zetterlund. Ottawa has already ruled Tkachuk out for Tuesday's contest against the Chicago Blackhawks. It also would not be surprising if Tkachuk sat out Thursday's regular-season finale against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Brady Tkachuk Ruled Out For Sunday

Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk (upper body) will remain out for Sunday's matchup against the Philadelphia Flyers. The Senators captain has resumed skating, but it appears that he could be sidelined for the remainder of the regular season. Following Sunday's action, Ottawa will have two more games to come. Tkachuk has yet to play this month, sitting out six games. Despite the absence, Tkachuk has remained the team's top goal-scorer with 29 markers. He has also tallied 26 assists in 71 games. Fabian Zetterlund and David Perron have experienced first-line usage during Tkachuk's absence.

Brady Tkachuk May Not Return Before Playoffs

Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk (upper body) may sit out the rest of the 2024-25 regular season. When asked Wednesday if the Senators captain would be in the lineup if the playoffs started tomorrow, Senators president of hockey operations and general manager Steve Staios said, "I would think so, yes. I can't give you a definitive [answer]." Tkachuk has been sidelined for the past five games while nursing an upper-body injury. Based on Staios' comments, it seems that Tkachuk isn't facing a serious issue, but the team wants to get him in a better condition for the playoffs. Ottawa has already clinched a spot in the postseason for the first time in eight years. Fabian Zetterlund has operated on the first line during Tkachuk's absence, recording points in back-to-back games.

Brady Tkachuk Ruled Out For Sunday

Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk (upper body) will miss his fourth straight game on Sunday against the Columbus Blue Jackets. "I doubt it to be honest. I don't think he'll play tomorrow," Senators head coach Travis Green told reporters after Saturday's victory over the Florida Panthers, according to The Athletic's Julian McKenzie. Fabian Zetterlund has taken Tkachuk's spot on the first line, but he had another anonymous performance on Saturday, finishing a 3-0 win with zero points and shots on goal.

Brady Tkachuk To Remain Out On Saturday

Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk (upper body) will remain sidelined for Saturday's matchup against the Florida Panthers. According to Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia, the Senators captain is not expected to play in Sunday's contest against the Columbus Blue Jackets, either. If he misses both games this weekend, Tkachuk's next opportunity to return will be on Tuesday in a rematch against the Blue Jackets. Fabian Zetterlund has started back-to-back games on the first line, but he has disappointed fantasy managers, going scoreless in those two games with four shots on goal and a minus-one rating.

Brady Tkachuk Out On Thursday

Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk (upper body) will not be in action on Thursday against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Senators captain continues to nurse an upper-body injury, sitting out a second straight game. Ottawa considers Tkachuk day-to-day, so there is a possibility he will be ready to return for the weekend's back-to-back set against the Florida Panthers and Columbus Blue Jackets. On Thursday, Fabian Zetterlund will get another chance on the top line. He did not capitalize on this opportunity in Tuesday's matchup against the Buffalo Sabres, finishing the game scoreless with three shots on goal.

Brady Tkachuk Not Playing On Tuesday

Ottawa Senators left wing Brady Tkachuk (upper body) will not play on Tuesday when the Senators host the Buffalo Sabres. The 25-year-old suffered this injury during their overtime loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status leading up to the next contest on Thursday evening against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Over his previous five contests, Tkachuk has tallied just two points (both goals), added 12 hits, and held a +4 rating. Through 71 total contests this season, the former fourth overall selection has found the back of the net 29 times and added 26 helpers. He has logged 227 hits with 293 shots on goal, which increases his value in category formats. While he is sidelined, Fabian Zetterlund will likely play on the top forward line.

Brady Tkachuk Available Saturday

Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk (hip) will play in Saturday's big matchup against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Before departing Thursday's contest, Tkachuk extended his point streak to eight games with a power-play assist. He boasts 27 goals and 52 points through 63 appearances this season. It has been a struggle for Tkachuk in the Battle of Ontario over the past couple of seasons, as he has posted only one point in six games.

Brady Tkachuk Suffers Minor Injury On Thursday

Ottawa Senators left wing Brady Tkachuk (hip) suffered a minor injury during Thursday's victory over the Boston Bruins. He was unable to play in the final period. However, after the contest, head coach Travis Green noted that Tkachuk just "tweaked" his hip and he will be "alright." Fantasy managers should continue to keep an eye on his status leading up to their next contest against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday. Before exiting the game, the 25-year-old tallied one helper which extended his point streak to eight contests. He also logged two shots and added three hits. Through 63 total contests this season, the former fourth overall selection has found the back of the net 27 times, added 35 helpers, and logged 209 hits. Brady Tkachuk Questionable For Wednesday's Game

Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk (lower body) left Tuesday's practice early, leaving his status up in the air for Wednesday's matchup against the Winnipeg Jets. The talented power forward suffered a lower-body injury during the 4 Nations Face-Off and may be absent for a second straight game. David Perron received a nice boost in playing time on Saturday against the Montreal Canadiens and looks to be in line for extra shifts again on Wednesday if Tkachuk remains out. However, the veteran winger has not been a good fantasy option in 2024-25, recording only four points (one goal, three assists) in 19 appearances.
