Philadelphia Flyers center Morgan Frost won't play on Sunday against the Blue Jackets, with the 24-year-old replaced in the lineup by Bobby Brink. Frost recently scored his first goals of the campaign, but he's regressed since last season and has been scratched regularly in 2023-24. The former first-round pick has amassed only four points in 10 outings. Brink, who has tallied eight points in 13 appearances, joins the lineup for the first time in four games on Sunday.
Philadelphia Flyers center Morgan Frost will return to the Flyers lineup on Monday after being a healthy scratch for the last six games. After a solid season last year where Frost posted 46 points in 81 games, the 24-year-old has fallen out of favor with head coach John Tortorella, playing just two games so far. He'll be back in the lineup tonight though, and will look to provide some offense while likely playing with leading scorer Travis Konecny and rookie Tyson Foerster. Frost has some fantasy potential, but for now he can be left on the waiver wire outside of dynasty leagues.
Philadelphia Flyers center Morgan Frost has agreed to a two-year extension with the team. He is getting a two-year, $4.2 million contract. Frost was a restricted free agent after completing a one-year, 800,000 deal. The 24-year-old, who was a first-round pick in 2017, struggled to make an impact in his first couple of seasons in the NHL, but he made a breakthrough in 2022-23 with 46 points (19 goals, 27 assists) in 81 games. Frost also averaged over one hit per game and registered 155 shots on goal. The Flyers will hope to see him take another step in 2023-24.
Philadelphia Flyers center Morgan Frost finished with two goals in Saturday's 6-3 loss against the Sabres. Frost opened the scoring in the first period and later added his second goal of the game to cut the deficit to three goals in the final minutes of the middle frame. Frost has recorded multi-goal games in two of the past three contests, while the former first round pick from the 2017 NHL Draft has enjoyed a breakout season with 18 goals, 23 assists and 41 points through 74 games. Frost is tied for fourth on the team in scoring and has potential to improve on those totals heading into next season.
Philadelphia Flyers forward Morgan Frost took care of two goals to help the team to a fourth consecutive victory Tuesday against Montreal. He put the Flyers 2-1 up late in the third period before the two teams exchanged a couple of late goals. Frost has been one of the key guys during the current winning streak, registering three goals and two assists in four games. The 23-year-old has totaled 38 points overall for the season, recording 16 goals and 22 assists in 72 games.
Philadelphia Flyers forward Morgan Frost had a spectacular four-assist game Thursday against Arizona, helping the squad to a 6-2 victory. He started the work with assists on a pair of game-tying goals and half of his helpers came with the man advantage. Travis Konecny, Joel Farabee, Kevin Hayes and James van Riemsdyk all benefited from Frost's big night. Frost also had a four-point effort against the Coyotes last month, so they will be glad to know that the regular-season series between the two is done with Thursday's contest. Frost's work against other teams has been inconsistent, with 19 points earned in 38 games. However, it's worth noting that 14 of Frost's points have come since the start of last month when he nailed down a spot in the top six.
Philadelphia Flyers forward Morgan Frost is set to center the first line on Tuesday against Columbus. He will be joined by Joel Farabee and the team's top scorer Cam Atkinson. Frost has tallied only 10 points in 42 games during his first full season in the NHL, but teaming up with Farabee and Atkinson gives him an excellent opportunity to boost his numbers. The 22-year-old is on just three points since the start of February, so he badly needs a lift right now. Kevin Hayes will continue to center the second line, while Scott Laughton (concussion) returns to action and takes over the center duties on the third line.
Morgan Frost Exits Tuesday's Win Because Of COVID-19 Protocols
Philadelphia Flyers forward Morgan Frost had a very brief night at the office against New Jersey on Tuesday, taking just two shifts and logging 1:12 of ice time before getting pulled from the game because of COVID-19 protocols. Oskar Lindblom got an opportunity to log extra minutes on the second line and collected a goal and an assist, while his linemate Cam Atkinson went off for a four-point performance in a 6-1 win. Frost has notched one goal and three assists in 10 appearances this season. Lindblom doubled his points tally Tuesday night.
Philadelphia Flyers forward Morgan Frost will be sidelined for the remainder of the season due to a separated shoulder. The 21-year-old, who is considered one of the Flyers' best forward prospects, suffered the injury on a hit from Sabres defenseman Jake McCabe on January 19. Frost is scheduled to have surgery on the injured shoulder soon and should be ready to go for 2021-2022 campaign. The Ontario native has seven points in 22 career NHL games and previously had 310 points in 257 games in four seasons of junior hockey with the Soo Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League.
Morgan Frost Out Indefinitely With Dislocated Shoulder
Philadelphia Flyers center Morgan Frost (shoulder) will be sidelined for the foreseeable future with a dislocated left shoulder. The 21-year-old suffered the injury during Tuesday's game in Buffalo. The Flyers are battling serious injury problems at center ice, with Frost and Sean Couturier (ribs) now out for multiple weeks. In their absence, Nolan Patrick and Scott Laughton will serve as the pivots in the middle six. Patrick, in particular, has a significant upside in fantasy formats, as he is also going to skate on the top power-play unit.
