Rafael Harvey-Pinard Out Four Months With Broken Leg

Montreal Canadiens winger Rafael Harvey-Pinard will miss the start of 2024-25 with a broken leg. He is expected to be out for four months after undergoing successful surgery. Harvey-Pinard was limited to 10 points (two goals, eight assists) in 45 games last season but has shown glimpses of good ability at times. The 25-year-old, who was a seventh-round pick in 2019, sits on 17 goals and 31 points through 83 career games. If his recovery goes as planned, we will see Harvey-Pinard back in action in late November as a bottom-six forward.

Rafael Harvey-Pinard Ruled Out For 4-6 Weeks

Montreal Canadiens left wing Rafael Harvey-Pinard (lower body) has been ruled out for 4-6 weeks. He was injured on Saturday versus Dallas, and the team has played Harvey-Pinard on Injured Reserve. The 25-year-old also missed multiple weeks with a lower-body injury earlier in the season. Harvey-Pinard has been limited to only 24 games this season, and he's struggled to make an impact, notching one goal and six assists.

Rafael Harvey-Pinard Returns For Montreal Thursday

Montreal Canadiens winger Rafael Harvey-Pinard (lower body) will rejoin the lineup on Thursday versus San Jose. The 25-year-old will log his first action since Nov. 14. Harvey-Pinard made 13 appearances and had four assists with zero goals before landing on the shelf for two months. Emil Heineman will exit the lineup. Harvey-Pinard hasn't done too well in 2023-24, but he showed some upside last season and could be an attacking threat if he lands in a good situation. It's currently unknown who will be his linemates in the meeting with the NHL's worst squad.

Rafael Harvey-Pinard Out For 6-8 Weeks

Montreal Canadiens left wing Rafael Harvey-Pinard (lower body) has been ruled out for 6-8 weeks. The 24-year-old has already missed five of the past eight games, and we won't see him until January. It's a fresh blow for Harvey-Pinard during a disappointing season, as he's been far from his last year's form and hasn't even scored a single goal in 13 outings. While averaging 13:09 of ice time, Harvey-Pinard has been limited to 11 shots on goal and four assists.

Rafael Harvey-Pinard Out On Saturday

Montreal Canadiens winger Rafael Harvey-Pinard (lower body) won't feature against the Blues on Saturday. He suffered a lower-body injury last time out against the Coyotes and will be sidelined for the first time this season. The 24-year-old has gone goalless with four assists in 10 appearances. Juraj Slafkovsky is getting a look on the first line in Harvey-Pinard's absence on Saturday. Following a disappointing rookie campaign, the 2022 first-overall pick has struggled again in 2023-24 with only one point to show for his efforts in 10 games. However, he will now be in a very good position to generate offense as he links up with Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki, who have combined for 18 points.

Rafael Harvey-Pinard Sustains A Lower-Body Injury

Montreal Canadiens winger Rafael Harvey-Pinard had to leave Thursday's clash with the Coyotes early due to a lower-body injury. He took just six shifts and logged 5:06 of ice time in total. The injury blow came at a bad time for Harvey-Pinard, as he had just gained a bit of momentum with assists in back-to-back games. The 24-year-old sits on four points overall for the season with no goals in 10 matches. The Canadiens will be forced to juggle things around in the top six if Harvey-Pinard can't play Saturday versus St. Louis, with Michael Pezzetta likely re-entering the lineup.

Rafael Harvey-Pinard Scores Three Goals In One Period

Montreal Canadiens left wing Rafael Harvey-Pinard scored his first career hat trick in Saturday's 8-2 win over Columbus while joining an exclusive list of players. He had all three goals in the second period, becoming the fifth rookie in franchise history to register a hat trick in a single period. Dick Gamble did it last in 1952. The Canadiens have had a miserable campaign, but they will be impressed by what Harvey-Pinard has brought to the table. He has potted 12 goals in 29 games, adding five assists. The 24-year-old has gone a bit cold lately, but he's seeing minutes on the top line and the first power-play unit, so the team is giving him every chance to excel.
