Nashville has lost multiple key players, which has given guys like Novak a chance to play a much larger role than expected, but the team sits just three points behind Winnipeg in the battle for the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference. Novak has played his part in the success with 38 points in 44 games.

The 29-year-old has been by far the hottest Predator in recent outings, putting up five goals and six assists during a five-game point streak. It's doubled Novak's points tally for the year, with him having notched 22 points across 26 games. Following injuries to Filip Forsberg (upper body) and Ryan Johansen (leg), Nashville has needed somebody to step up offensively, and Novak has answered the call. He has started to center the top line and also works on the first power-play unit, so fantasy managers who need a boost to their offensive options should definitely give Novak a look.
