Roope Hintz Returns To Stars Lineup With Two Assists

Dallas Stars center Roope Hintz returned from an upper-body injury in Monday's Game 3 against Edmonton and made an instant impact in a 5-3 win. He logged two assists to help spark a comeback from a two-goal deficit in the second period. Hintz logged 17:48 of ice time in his comeback game, skating on the first line with Tyler Seguin and Jason Robertson. The trio combined for seven points in the contest, with Robertson scoring his first playoff hat trick. Hintz upped his playoff scoring tally to eight points (two goals, six assists) in 12 games.

Roope Hintz A Game-Time Call Monday

Dallas Stars center Roope Hintz (upper body) is a game-time decision for Monday's Game 3 of the Western Conference Final against Edmonton. He's hoping to return to action after missing four games. Following a very quiet start to the postseason, Hintz had just started to heat up with five points in three games before he suffered an upper-body injury. The Finnish forward has totaled six points (two goals, four assists) in 11 total appearances in these playoffs. Hintz is among Dallas' most talented players and should play a big part in Monday's contest if he's ready to return.

Roope Hintz In Contention To Return To Action On Saturday

Dallas Stars center Roope Hintz (upper body) could be available again for the team in Saturday's Game 2 against Edmonton. Stars head coach Pete DeBoer said on Friday that Hintz is a possibility for the contest. The Finnish forward has been sidelined for three games with an upper-body injury. Hintz's return would give a big boost to Dallas, although he hasn't been quite at his best in the postseason. Through 11 appearances, Hintz has registered two goals and four assists. He will presumedly jump right back to the top line and the first power-play unit if he's good to go on Saturday.

Roope Hintz Skates Monday, Still Day-To-Day

Dallas Stars center Roope Hintz (undisclosed) practiced on Monday and is considered day-to-day ahead of Game 1 of the Western Conference Final on Thursday. Hintz missed Games 5 and 6 of the Stars' second-round series against the Colorado Avalanche with an undisclosed injury, but appears to be getting healthier and could return early in their next series. Hintz would be a big addition up the middle for Dallas, who would be able to slide their lineup around to give them an even bigger depth advantage than they already have. If he returns, Hintz would likely play on a line with Jason Robertson as he has most of the season, but nothing is set in stone.

Roope Hintz Remains Out For Game 6

Dallas Stars center Roope Hintz (upper body) will miss a second consecutive game against Colorado on Friday. He continues to nurse an upper-body injury he suffered in Game 4 of the second-round series. The Stars hope to have Hintz back in action in the team's next game. Hintz, who posted a career-high 75 points (37 goals, 38 assists) in 73 regular-season games, has totaled only six points (two goals, four assists) in 11 playoff outings. Five of the points came in Game 2 and Game 3 against the Avalanche. Matt Duchene is centering Dallas' first line in Hintz's absence.

Roope Hintz Undergoing Testing For Injury

Dallas Stars center Roope Hintz (upper body) remains under evaluation following his early exit from Monday's Game 4 against Colorado. Hintz took only eight shifts and logged 6:35 of ice time in a big 5-1 win. He finished scoreless for the eighth time in 11 games this postseason. The Finnish forward has had a tough time making a mark offensively, but five of his six points in the 2024 playoffs have come in the series against the Avalanche. Radek Faksa, who scored the decisive goal in Game 7 against Vegas in the opening round, might get a chance to re-enter the lineup if Hintz isn't available to play on Wednesday.

Roope Hintz Explodes For Four-Point Performance

Dallas Stars center Roope Hintz produced his second career four-point postseason game as the team tied the Western Conference semifinals series against Colorado in Game 2 with a 5-3 victory. Hintz finally got things clicking in the offensive zone after posting only one point through his first eight appearances this postseason. He scored Dallas' second goal and had three assists, including two on the power play. Hintz will head into Saturday's Game 3 boasting the third-most three-point efforts in the playoffs among Finnish players. He moved past Sebastian Aho on Thursday with his seventh such game and now trails only Esa Tikkanen (10) and Jari Kurri (28).

Roope Hintz Collects Three Points In Friday's Win

Dallas Stars center Roope Hintz had a game-high three points in Friday's 6-2 road victory over the Ducks. He produced a power-play goal and had two assists. Hintz finished the game with two power-play points in total -- his first with the man advantage since Jan. 23. The Finnish forward had a really rough ride in February, but he's been back in form in recent games, registering three goals and three assists in his last four appearances. He's Dallas' top goal-scorer with 26 markers and has posted 56 points overall across 63 outings. It's been a solid campaign for Hintz, who has a chance to post his third consecutive season with at least 35 goals and assists.

Roope Hintz Nets Fourth Career Hat Trick

Dallas Mavericks center Roope Hintz potted his fourth career hat trick in Friday's matchup against Chicago, lifting the team to a 5-4 overtime victory. He became the fifth player in franchise history to complete a hat trick in overtime. Hintz started the damage with a power-play marker in the first period and scored in an even-strength situation in the second. The Finnish forward is closing out 2023 in style, having gone scoreless just once in his past nine appearances. He's produced 32 points (14 goals, 18 assists) in as many games overall.

Roope Hintz Set To Return Monday

Dallas Stars center Roope Hintz (illness) is ready to rock for Monday's game against the Detroit Red Wings. Hintz missed Saturday's contest with an illness but will rejoin the first line with Joe Pavelski and Jason Robertson, as well as the first power-play unit. Hintz has been his usual self this season, notching 22 points (10 goals, 12 assists) in 24 games, a pace that sees him close to a point per game, which is where he usually resides. He is a strong fantasy asset in all leagues and should be back in lineups on Monday.

Roope Hintz Amasses Three Points In Win Over Rangers

Dallas Stars center Roope Hintz produced a goal and two assists as the team cooled down the Rangers with a 6-3 victory on Monday. The Stars fell two goals behind in their own barn, but Hintz's playmaking helped to tie things up, and he grabbed an empty-net goal late in the game. Hintz now boasts five points across the last four games after going through a four-game dry patch. He has potted seven goals across the entire season and boasts 16 points through 16 outings.

Roope Hintz Hands Out Two Assists Versus Flames

Dallas Stars center Roope Hintz recorded two assists as the team defeated Calgary 4-3 on the road Wednesday night. His first helper came in a short-handed situation. This marks Hintz's second consecutive multi-point game. He made his seventh appearance of the season and jumped to eight points, having scored three times while assisting on five goals. Hintz tends to suffer from health issues quite often and has already sat out one contest this season, but he's typically very productive when he's in the lineup. He'll head out again on Thursday against the Oilers, who have been shocking at the back early in the season.

Roope Hintz On Track To Make Season Debut Tuesday

Dallas Stars center Roope Hintz (upper body) is on track to join the lineup for Tuesday's clash with Vegas. The Finnish star sat out Dallas' season opener on Thursday against St. Louis with an upper-body injury, but he returned to full practice last week and also skated Tuesday morning in his usual spot next to Jason Robertson and Joe Pavelski. Hintz has produced 190 points (89 goals, 101 assists) in 194 games across the last three seasons and is poised to have another fine campaign in 2023-24.

Roope Hintz Ruled Out Thursday

Dallas Stars center Roope Hintz (upper body) won't be in the lineup Thursday as the team opens its 2023-24 campaign with a home game against St. Louis. Hintz has battled an upper-body injury lately and appears to be nearing full health, but Thursday's contest comes too soon for him. Following Thursday, the Stars will be off until next Tuesday, so there's a good chance Hintz's absence is limited to only one game. Tyler Seguin is expected to center Dallas' first line in his place Thursday.

Roope Hintz A Game-Time Call For Thursday

Dallas Stars center Roope Hintz (upper body) is regarded as a game-time decision for Thursday's clash with the Blues. Hintz missed most of preseason but returned to practice on Wednesday, which is a great sign regarding his potential availability. However, Stars head coach Pete DeBoer admitted he doesn't want to rush Hintz into action, so it's possible he will remain sidelined Thursday. Tyler Seguin has been practicing as the top-line center in Hintz's absence and should fill the role in Thursday's game if Hintz doesn't get the green light to return.

Roope Hintz Unavailable Due To An Upper-Body Injury

Dallas Stars center Roope Hintz missed Wednesday's practice with an upper-body problem. According to head coach Pete DeBoer, Hintz is "dealing with something" with his upper body. DeBoer added that he's not concerned about the ailment, so it's safe to assume Hintz will return to the ice soon. The Finnish forward came close to a 40-goal year in 2022-23 and had a career-high 75 points in 73 games. He's part of one of the best lines in hockey and should continue to crush it in 2023-24.

Roope Hintz Scores Opening Goal In Game 7 Victory

Dallas Stars center Roope Hintz opened the scoring in Monday's 2-1 victory against the Kraken in Game 7 of the Western Conference second-round series. Hintz's takeaway from the defenseman at the blue line gave him an open lane to find the back of the net against Kraken goaltender Philipp Grubauer with four minutes remaining in the second period. Hintz has been terrific in the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs, as the Stars first line center has scored a team-leading nine goals and totaled 19 points through 13 games.

Roope Hintz Records Fourth Three-Point Playoff Outing

Dallas Stars center Roope Hintz continued his red-hot postseason with his fourth three-point performance in these playoffs Thursday, contributing two goals and an assist in a 5-2 victory over Seattle. He is now tied with three players for the most three-point games by a Stars/North Stars player in a single postseason. Somehow the Kraken had managed to limit Hintz to just three total points in the first four meetings, but he made up for his slow start on Thursday and even registered all of his points during even-strength play. Hintz has previously feasted a lot on the power play and is now on eight goals and 10 assists for the 2023 postseason.

Roope Hintz Continues Spectacular Postseason With Two-Point Effort

Dallas Stars center Roope Hintz had another very productive outing in the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs Tuesday, posting two points in a 6-3 Game 4 win over Seattle. He netted the team's fifth goal and recorded a power-play assist. Hintz's productivity has slowed down a bit in the second-round series, but he continues to sit among the most prolific postseason performers of the year, having tallied six goals and nine assists through 10 games. He's on one goal and two assists in the series against the Kraken.
