Dallas Stars center Roope Hintz missed Wednesday's practice with an upper-body problem. According to head coach Pete DeBoer, Hintz is "dealing with something" with his upper body. DeBoer added that he's not concerned about the ailment, so it's safe to assume Hintz will return to the ice soon. The Finnish forward came close to a 40-goal year in 2022-23 and had a career-high 75 points in 73 games. He's part of one of the best lines in hockey and should continue to crush it in 2023-24.

Hints played a key role on offense once again for the Stars with his 10th postseason goal and two assists. He has now totaled an impressive 22 points in 14 playoff appearances this season, becoming only the fourth player in franchise history to hit the 20-point mark in a single playoff campaign with 14 or fewer games.

Dallas Stars center Roope Hintz opened the scoring in Monday's 2-1 victory against the Kraken in Game 7 of the Western Conference second-round series. Hintz's takeaway from the defenseman at the blue line gave him an open lane to find the back of the net against Kraken goaltender Philipp Grubauer with four minutes remaining in the second period. Hintz has been terrific in the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs, as the Stars first line center has scored a team-leading nine goals and totaled 19 points through 13 games.

Dallas Stars center Roope Hintz continued his red-hot postseason with his fourth three-point performance in these playoffs Thursday, contributing two goals and an assist in a 5-2 victory over Seattle. He is now tied with three players for the most three-point games by a Stars/North Stars player in a single postseason. Somehow the Kraken had managed to limit Hintz to just three total points in the first four meetings, but he made up for his slow start on Thursday and even registered all of his points during even-strength play. Hintz has previously feasted a lot on the power play and is now on eight goals and 10 assists for the 2023 postseason.
