Thomas Harley to Miss Road Trip

Dallas Stars defenseman Thomas Harley (lower body) will not join the team for an upcoming four-game road trip, Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News reports. Harley has missed two games with a lower-body injury and is going to need a bit more time to recover. He has been officially listed as week-to-week. Ilya Lyubushkin (undisclosed) won't be on the plane either, leaving the Dallas blue line without two regular contributors. Vladislav Kolyachonok was brought up from the minors this week and is set to remain in the lineup until the injuries clear up. However, he was used very sparingly in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the New York Islanders, as Kolyachonok logged less than 10 minutes of ice time.

Thomas Harley Out Week-to-Week

Dallas Stars defenseman Thomas Harley (lower body) will be out week-to-week. He missed his first game of the season on Saturday against the Philadelphia Flyers and will spend some more time on the sidelines due to a lower-body injury. "He was dealing with it. He played three or four games with it," Stars head coach Glen Gulutzan said on Saturday. "It becomes a point right now where you don't want to make the injury worse. It's the smartest decision for the athlete just to take that time now and get it dealt with." Harley is a big piece of the Stars' blue line, averaging nearly 23 minutes of ice time. He has recorded 10 points (one goal, nine assists), 21 shots, and 43 blocks in 18 games. Kyle Capobianco replaced Harley in the lineup on Saturday.

Thomas Harley a Game-Time Call Saturday

Dallas Stars defenseman Thomas Harley (undisclosed) is a game-time decision for Saturday's contest against the Philadelphia Flyers. Due to an undisclosed injury, Harley may have to miss his first game of the season. Before Thursday's matchup against the Montreal Canadiens, Harley was also considered a game-time call. He remained in the lineup and posted an assist while logging 21:25 of ice time. Across 18 appearances, Harley has racked up a team-high 43 blocks and sits on 10 points (one goal, nine assists). Kyle Capobianco is expected to enter the lineup if Harley can't play on Saturday night. He has no fantasy value.

Thomas Harley Signs Eight-Year Extension With Stars

Dallas Stars defenseman Thomas Harley has been signed to an eight-year, $84.696 million contract extension. Starting next season, Harley's contract will have a cap hit of $10.587 million. The talented defenseman is currently in the final season of a two-year, $4 million bridge deal. Over the last couple of years, Harley's development has been hugely impressive, and he's also made a great start to the 2025-26 campaign. With 10 games played, Harley boasts eight points (one goal, seven assists) and has blocked a team-high 30 shots. At 24, Harley is still young for a defenseman and appears to be on track for a very successful career.

Thomas Harley Records Two Points in Series-Clincher

Dallas Stars defenseman Thomas Harley had a hand in both goals in Saturday's 2-1 overtime win against the Winnipeg Jets that sent the team to the Conference Finals. The rising star assisted Sam Steel on the game-tying goal in the second period and potted the game-winner himself with only 1:33 played in the extra frame. Harley found the back of the net on the power play, scoring for the fourth time in these playoffs. In 13 outings, he has also recorded seven assists, while doing his fair share of the dirty work with 29 blocks and 18 hits. Even with Miro Heiskanen back in the lineup, Harley has continued to log major minutes in defense and looks set to be a key figure for Dallas for the rest of the postseason campaign.

Thomas Harley Continues Home Point Streak

Dallas Stars defenseman Thomas Harley finished Tuesday's 3-1 victory against the Winnipeg Jets with one assist, two hits, and a plus-one rating across 26:09 of ice time. He helped set up Mikael Granlund for a power-play goal in the first frame. The power-play assist extended Harley's postseason-opening home point streak to six games. Over the last 20 years, only Adam Fox of the New York Rangers has enjoyed a longer such run among defensemen. Harley has played a huge role for the Stars in the 2025 playoffs, registering nine points (three goals, six assists), 20 shots, 27 blocks, and 16 hits in 11 games. He appears set to continue as the leader on the Stars blue line for now, given that Miro Heiskanen logged only 14:52 of ice time in his return from injury Tuesday night.

Thomas Harley Collects Two Points Sunday

Dallas Stars defenseman Thomas Harley recorded a goal and an assist in Sunday's 5-2 win in Game 3 against the Winnipeg Jets. Both of his points came in the first frame as Roope Hintz scored a power-play goal and Harley himself found the back of the net during even-strength play. Harley's efforts included two blocks over 24:38 of ice time. Dallas has been without Miro Heiskanen (knee) for the entire postseason, but you wouldn't say so, considering how well the team has performed. Harley has played a big role in it, notching eight points (three goals, five assists) in 10 games with 20 shots, 27 blocks, and 14 hits, while averaging a team-high 27:28 of ice time.

Thomas Harley Sits Out Second Consecutive Game

Dallas Stars defenseman Thomas Harley (rest) will remain out of the lineup on Monday against the Detroit Red Wings. He will be rested for a second consecutive game. Harley has taken on a significant workload in the Stars defense due to Miro Heiskanen's (knee) unavailability and is now receiving much-needed time off before the postseason. Heiskanen has been ruled out for the first game of the playoffs, so Harley must also be ready to eat up major minutes when postseason action starts. The 23-year-old has posted a career-high 50 points (16 goals, 34) in 77 games this season while registering 169 shots and 109 blocks. Esa Lindell (rest) will also remain out on Monday, giving Brendan Smith and Alexander Petrovic a chance to play, with Matt Dumba and Ilya Lyubushkin operating as the top defensive duo.

Thomas Harley Lifts Dallas Over New Jersey

Dallas Stars defenseman Thomas Harley tallied two points, including the game-winner during their 4-3 victory over the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday evening. Harley tallied the secondary assist on Roope Hintz's power-play goal in the second frame. In the third, Harley played the hero as he scored the game-winner with just three seconds remaining. In this contest, he also logged two shots on goal and held a plus-zero rating. This outing extended his point streak to four games. Over his previous 10 contests, the 23-year-old has tallied 13 points (four goals, nine helpers), with seven of his points coming on the power play. With Miro Heiskanen (knee) on the injured reserve, Harley has taken over the top role on the power play and performed at an elite level. He remains a must-start option in all leagues and will look to continue this offensive surge on Thursday evening against the Calgary Flames.

Thomas Harley Joining Team Canada

According to Elliotte Friedman, Dallas Stars defenseman Thomas Harley is joining Team Canada before their contest against Team USA on Saturday evening. With Cale Makar (illness) missing Friday's practice, the team is allowed to add another defenseman to their roster. In addition, Shea Theodore (arm) has already been ruled out for the remainder of the tournament. However, head coach Jon Cooper noted earlier on Friday that he is "confident" that Makar will be available. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor Makar's status leading up to the game. If he cannot turn the corner in time, then Harley will enter the starting lineup. Harley has been quite productive in replacing Miro Heiskanen (knee) on the top pairing in Dallas. Over his previous five NHL games, Harley has tallied six points with a +3 rating.

Thomas Harley Tallies Goal, Assist On Saturday

Dallas Stars defenseman Thomas Harley tallied a goal and an assist during Saturday's victory over the San Jose Sharks. Harley tallied his assist on the power-play to set up Matt Duchene to score his 22nd goal of the season. Later in the third, Harley would find the back of the net during 5-on-5 play on a wrist shot. In this contest, the 23-year-old also logged two blocked shots with a +1 rating. Over his previous five contests, Harley has tallied six points (two goals, four helpers) with a +3 rating. While Miro Heiskanen (knee) has been sidelined, Harley has moved up to the top pairing during even-strength play and the top unit on the power-play. Fantasy managers should expect Harley to continue to see top minutes while Heiskanen is on the injured reserve.

Thomas Harley A Game-Time Call Wednesday

Dallas Stars defenseman Thomas Harley (illness) is in danger of missing a second consecutive game on Wednesday versus Toronto. The Stars are battling the flu bug, and head coach Peter DeBoer has said that a number of players are game-time decisions for Wednesday's game. Nils Lundkvist (illness) might also be missing from the Stars defense after exiting Monday's 3-1 win over Washington with flu-like symptoms. Alex Petrovic has been brought up from the minors for added defensive depth. In a corresponding move, Matt Dumba was placed on Injured Reserve, retroactive to Dec. 8

Thomas Harley A Game-Time Decision For Monday

Dallas Stars defenseman Thomas Harley (illness) is a game-time decision for Monday's meeting with Washington. He appears to be the latest victim of a flu bug that has recently spread in the Stars locker room. Harley's absence would be a massive loss for the team, as the young blue-liner eats up over 22 minutes of ice time on a nightly basis and contributes at both ends of the ice. In 29 appearances, Harley has notched 14 points (four goals, 10 assists) with 66 shots and 35 blocks. He leads the team with a plus-15 rating. Nils Lundkvist (illness) is expected back on Monday and looks to be Harley's replacement in the lineup if the latter does not feel well enough to play.

Thomas Harley Agrees To Two-Year Contract With Stars

Dallas Stars defenseman Thomas Harley has signed a two-year, $8 million contract with the club ahead of the start of training camp. Harley needed to get a new contract done before the camp because he was a restricted free agent. The Stars have seen Harley quickly blossom into a highly productive blue-liner. Only seven defensemen in the league managed more than his 15 goals last season, while Harley collected 47 points overall across 79 outings. The 23-year-old fired off 144 shots on goal and also did his part defensively with 135 blocks. With him locked into a top-four role and getting regular power-play time, it's safe to assume Harley will enjoy another good season in 2024-25.

Thomas Harley Remains Out On Monday

Dallas Stars defenseman Thomas Harley (upper body) will miss a third consecutive game Monday against the Rangers. The young blue-liner skated on Monday morning but isn't quite ready to return yet. Harley was injured last week in a game against Minnesota when he was sent face-first into the boards by Wild forward Brandon Duhaime. The 22-year-old has produced three goals and two assists with a plus-two rating in 14 appearances this season. Harley's injury has opened the door for veteran Joel Hanley to enter the lineup.

Thomas Harley Hurt In Sunday's Big Win

Dallas Stars defenseman Thomas Harley couldn't fully enjoy the team's big 8-3 win over Minnesota on Sunday as he sustained an upper-body injury in the contest. Harley's night ended in the second period when he was boarded by Wild forward Brandon Duhaime, who received a five-minute major and a game misconduct penalty for his actions. The team didn't have an update on Harley postgame, but we should hear more soon, as the season continues for Dallas on Tuesday. Harley has been an effective two-way defenseman for the Stars, recording five points (three goals, two assists) in 14 games this season while racking up 26 blocks.
