Alejandro Osuna Continuing To Progress In Arizona Fall League

Texas Rangers outfield prospect Alejandro Osuna has continued to progress in the Arizona Fall League. Through 22 games, the No. 16 ranked prospect in the Texas system has posted a stellar .314/.449/.477 slash line and has hit eight doubles, two home runs with 16 RBI and two stolen bases. He has also shown a great eye at the plate with a 20:23 BB:K ratio. Last summer, the 22-year-old opened the campaign with High-A and posted a solid .272/.339/.486 line which earned him a late-season promotion to Double-A Frisco. At this level, Osuna continued to take a step forward as he posted an impressive .306/.379/.523 line with 18 doubles, nine home runs, and seven stolen bases in a 57-game stint. If Osuna can continue to develop during Spring Training, he could open the 2025 campaign at Triple-A.

Alejandro Osuna Posts Another Multi-Hit Performance

Texas Rangers outfield prospect Alejandro Osuna went 2-for-5 with a double and two runs on Thursday. This was the 21-year-old's fifth multi-hit performance in his past 11 games. In this span, Osuna has held a strong .295/.392/.432 slash line with six doubles and a 6:7 BB:K. Since joining Double-A Frisco in late June, he has posted an excellent .295/.389/.518 line with 12 doubles and three round-trippers. Prior to moving up to Double-A, the young outfielder held a .267/.357/.414 slash line across 136 games at High-A. He currently sits as the 22nd-best prospect in the Texas system on MLB.com and is a name to keep an eye on in dynasty formats, as he is continuing to show high upside through his first taste of Double-A.

Alejandro Osuna Promoted To Double-A

Texas Rangers outfield prospect Alejandro Osuna was promoted to Double-A Frisco on Friday, June 29, according to MiLB Central. Osuna has spent his previous 136 games with High-A Hickory and held an overall .267/.357/.414 slash line with 15 home runs, 74 RBI, 28 stolen bases, and a 66:136 BB:K ratio. Osuna recently hit for the cycle on Wednesday evening in what was his last game at the High-A level. This season, he posted a career-best .272/.339/.486 line with nine home runs which convinced the Rangers he was ready to join the upper levels of the minor leagues. The 21-year-old currently sits outside of the Texas top 30 prospects on MLB Pipeline but could join this list in the second half of the summer if he carries this strong play into Double-A.

Alejandro Osuna Hits For The Cycle On Wednesday

Texas Rangers outfield prospect Alejandro Osuna went 5-for-5 with two singles, one double, one triple, and a round-tripper. This impressive performance was another strong showing for the 21-year-old as of late, as he holds a .342/.405/.605 slash line in his past nine games. Osuna has been with High-A Hickory for 136 games throughout the past three seasons and could be nearing his promotion to Double-A. This season he is on pace to set a new career high in home runs and in slugging percentage. Despite his increase in power this season, he has lowered his on-base percentage significantly from a .381 mark last season to a .339 he currently sits with. Osuna is not ranked in MLB Pipeline's top 30 Ranger prospects but could slot in this ranking later this summer if he continues this power surge.
