Texas Rangers infielder Justin Foscue and outfielder Alejandro Osuna were optioned to Triple-A Round Rock on Monday. Neither player was getting starts on a regular basis, and neither was hitting well, with Foscue going 0-for-3 in just one game during his latest stint, while Osuna was slashing .164/.293/.224 in 82 plate appearances stretching back to late May. Both should have more opportunities back at Round Rock and could get another chance later this season if a regular gets injured or in September when rosters expand, however, neither would likely hold much fantasy value when they return.

Although the 22-year-old played just eight games at Triple-A, with a solid baseball pedigree, good bat-to-ball skills, and an ability to steal some bases, he could be worth a look in deep and AL-only leagues, and with the Rangers having one of the higher implied run totals on the slate, he could also be a cheap DFS option.

He currently sits as the 22nd-best prospect in the Texas system on MLB.com and is a name to keep an eye on in dynasty formats, as he is continuing to show high upside through his first taste of Double-A.

Osuna has spent his previous 136 games with High-A Hickory and held an overall .267/.357/.414 slash line with 15 home runs, 74 RBI, 28 stolen bases, and a 66:136 BB:K ratio. Osuna recently hit for the cycle on Wednesday evening in what was his last game at the High-A level. This season, he posted a career-best .272/.339/.486 line with nine home runs which convinced the Rangers he was ready to join the upper levels of the minor leagues. The 21-year-old currently sits outside of the Texas top 30 prospects on MLB Pipeline but could join this list in the second half of the summer if he carries this strong play into Double-A.

Osuna is not ranked in MLB Pipeline's top 30 Ranger prospects but could slot in this ranking later this summer if he continues this power surge.
