Jeremiah Jackson Back in Lineup on Wednesday

Baltimore Orioles rookie infielder Jeremiah Jackson (elbow) is starting at third base and will bat second for the O's on Wednesday against the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates and right-hander Paul Skenes. Jackson was pulled from Tuesday's game at Camden Yards after being plunked in the right elbow by a pitch in the eighth inning. The 25-year-old is only dealing with a bruise, though, allowing him to return to action a day later. The former second-round pick by the Los Angeles Angels in 2018 has looked good in his first 33 major-league games in Baltimore this year, going 38-for-121 (.314) with five long balls, 18 RBI, and 16 runs scored in 127 trips to the plate. Jackson won't be a recommended DFS play, though, while facing one of the best young pitchers in the game in Skenes.

Jeremiah Jackson Exits After Getting Hit in the Elbow

Baltimore Orioles outfielder Jeremiah Jackson (elbow) was hit in the right elbow by a pitch in the eighth inning of Tuesday's 3-2 extra innings win over the Pirates, and he then exited the game. The 25-year-old had homered earlier in the game, his fifth since being called up at the beginning of August. The former second-round draft pick has outperformed expectations since arriving, slashing .314/.346/.521 in 33 games with the O's. The right-handed slugger should be considered day-to-day for now. If he is back in the lineup on Wednesday, he'll have a tall test against the Pirates' Paul Skenes.

Jeremiah Jackson Promoted to Major Leagues

The Baltimore Orioles are promoting infield prospect Jeremiah Jackson to the major leagues prior to their contest on Friday against the Colorado Rockies. Jackson has been in the minor leagues since being selected in the second round of the 2018 MLB Draft out of St. Luke's Episcopal School. This season, Jackson opened the campaign with Double-A Chesapeake and held a .254/.291/.412 slash line with 16 doubles and four home runs. He then moved up to Triple-A Norfolk, where he has been quite productive. Through his first 38 games with the Tides, Jackson has posted an impressive .377/.398/.682 slash line with a 1.080 OPS, 14 doubles, and 11 long balls. For now, fantasy managers should expect Jackson to be deployed in a bench role, which will limit his upside in standard formats.

Jeremiah Jackson Headed to Triple-A Norfolk

Baltimore Orioles infield prospect Jeremiah Jackson is getting promoted to Triple-A Norfolk. The former second-round draft pick's season-long slash line of .254/.291/.412 wouldn't show it, but the right-handed slugger has been hitting well lately. The 25-year-old is 19-for-64 (.297) over his last 18 games with eight doubles, a home run, nine RBI, and eight runs scored. It'll be his first look at Triple-A pitching since getting drafted by the Angels back in 2018. He offers both power and speed, hitting as many as 22 home runs and stealing 27 bases in 2023. His strikeout rate came in at 25.5 percent while playing at Double-A in the Mets' system last year, but he has seen a big improvement to 16.4 percent thus far in 2025 at Double-A in the Baltimore farm system. If he can perform well, there is a chance Jackson could debut later this season, but he is not a stash candidate at this time.
