Jeremiah Jackson's Power, Positional Versatility Provide Waiver-Wire Appeal

Baltimore Orioles second baseman Jeremiah Jackson has filled in admirably this season for the injured Jackson Holliday (hand). The former second-round draft pick has hit safely in 11 of his last 13 games, currently riding a four-game hit streak, and for the season has produced a .295-5-19-9-1 stat line with a .362 wOBA and 131 wRC+. The aforementioned Holliday has begun a rehab assignment, but recently encountered a setback for the second time, and will likely not be back until sometime in May, leaving the door open for Jackson to continue to get playing time for the O's. The 26-year-old doesn't walk much (2.6 percent), so he's less desirable in OBP leagues, but in other standard mixed leagues, the right-handed hitter is worthy of consideration for his power and RBI potential. He's available in almost 40 percent of Yahoo! leagues and is eligible at 2B, 3B, and OF, adding to his fantasy appeal.

Jeremiah Jackson Has Been Great This Season

Baltimore Orioles second baseman Jeremiah Jackson has had a surprisingly hot start to the season. Taking over for the injured Jackson Holliday, the 26-year-old second baseman has given the Orioles a much-needed spark more than once. This past week alone, he has hit four home runs and recorded 11 RBI in just five games played. While this should be considered a huge success, it's hard to trust that this will sustain itself long-term. He has yet to record a walk this year and has posted a 44.0% chase rate, bringing attention to his tendency to lack patience at the plate. Additionally, his 31.1% hard-hit rate suggests that there might not be much power in his future unless changes are made at the plate. For now, he should be added to the deepest of leagues for minimal cost, as fantasy managers would be wise to be ready to drop him once Holliday returns to the lineup.

Jeremiah Jackson has Career Day on Monday

Baltimore Orioles infielder Jeremiah Jackson had a career day at the plate in Baltimore's 9-7 comeback win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday night. Jackson went 3-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI out of the eight-hole. It was Jackson's first multi-homer performance of his career, and also the first time he's had five RBI in a contest. The 26-year-old is certainly taking advantage of the increased playing time at the keystone for the O's to begin the 2026 regular season with regular second baseman Jackson Holliday (hand) still recovering from a broken hamate bone in his hand that he suffered in spring training. Holliday isn't expected to come off the 10-day injured list this week, either, so Jackson will get a little more run as a regular for Baltimore. In his first 14 games this year, Jackson is hitting .318 (14-for-44) with three home runs, 11 RBI, and four runs scored.

Jeremiah Jackson Back in Lineup on Wednesday

Baltimore Orioles rookie infielder Jeremiah Jackson (elbow) is starting at third base and will bat second for the O's on Wednesday against the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates and right-hander Paul Skenes. Jackson was pulled from Tuesday's game at Camden Yards after being plunked in the right elbow by a pitch in the eighth inning. The 25-year-old is only dealing with a bruise, though, allowing him to return to action a day later. The former second-round pick by the Los Angeles Angels in 2018 has looked good in his first 33 major-league games in Baltimore this year, going 38-for-121 (.314) with five long balls, 18 RBI, and 16 runs scored in 127 trips to the plate. Jackson won't be a recommended DFS play, though, while facing one of the best young pitchers in the game in Skenes.

Jeremiah Jackson Exits After Getting Hit in the Elbow

Baltimore Orioles outfielder Jeremiah Jackson (elbow) was hit in the right elbow by a pitch in the eighth inning of Tuesday's 3-2 extra innings win over the Pirates, and he then exited the game. The 25-year-old had homered earlier in the game, his fifth since being called up at the beginning of August. The former second-round draft pick has outperformed expectations since arriving, slashing .314/.346/.521 in 33 games with the O's. The right-handed slugger should be considered day-to-day for now. If he is back in the lineup on Wednesday, he'll have a tall test against the Pirates' Paul Skenes.

Jeremiah Jackson Promoted to Major Leagues

The Baltimore Orioles are promoting infield prospect Jeremiah Jackson to the major leagues prior to their contest on Friday against the Colorado Rockies. Jackson has been in the minor leagues since being selected in the second round of the 2018 MLB Draft out of St. Luke's Episcopal School. This season, Jackson opened the campaign with Double-A Chesapeake and held a .254/.291/.412 slash line with 16 doubles and four home runs. He then moved up to Triple-A Norfolk, where he has been quite productive. Through his first 38 games with the Tides, Jackson has posted an impressive .377/.398/.682 slash line with a 1.080 OPS, 14 doubles, and 11 long balls. For now, fantasy managers should expect Jackson to be deployed in a bench role, which will limit his upside in standard formats.

Jeremiah Jackson Headed to Triple-A Norfolk

Baltimore Orioles infield prospect Jeremiah Jackson is getting promoted to Triple-A Norfolk. The former second-round draft pick's season-long slash line of .254/.291/.412 wouldn't show it, but the right-handed slugger has been hitting well lately. The 25-year-old is 19-for-64 (.297) over his last 18 games with eight doubles, a home run, nine RBI, and eight runs scored. It'll be his first look at Triple-A pitching since getting drafted by the Angels back in 2018. He offers both power and speed, hitting as many as 22 home runs and stealing 27 bases in 2023. His strikeout rate came in at 25.5 percent while playing at Double-A in the Mets' system last year, but he has seen a big improvement to 16.4 percent thus far in 2025 at Double-A in the Baltimore farm system. If he can perform well, there is a chance Jackson could debut later this season, but he is not a stash candidate at this time.
