Logan Gillaspie Claimed By Padres
The San Diego Padres have claimed pitcher Logan Gillaspie off waivers from the Boston Red Sox. The 26-year-old was claimed by Boston from the Baltimore Orioles in September but never made a big-league appearance with the club while tossing 4 1/3 scoreless frames for their Triple-A affiliate in Worcester. Gillaspie did make 11 appearances for the Orioles in 2023, working to a 6.00 ERA while allowing two homers and five walks across nine innings of work. He also posted a 4.71 ERA and an 11.3% K-BB% across 34 appearances with Triple-A Norfolk in the Orioles organization. He owns a 4.10 ERA across 28 outings and 26 1/3 innings in his big-league career.
