Omar Narváez News
Milwaukee Brewers catcher Omar Narvaez is back in the team's lineup for Wednesday's matchup with the San Diego Padres and right-handed starter Yu Darvish. Narvaez previously got the day off on Tuesday. The veteran is hitting .237 with a .337 on-base percentage and a pair of home runs in 98 plate appearances this season. He'll hit seventh against Darvish and the Padres. Narvaez is worth a look for fantasy managers in need of streaming help at catcher in deeper leagues where on-base percentage is part of the scoring.
Milwaukee Brewers catcher Omar Narvaez will begin Monday's game against the Baltimore Orioles on the bench. Narvaez hit .266 with a .342 on-base percentage and 11 home runs in 445 plate appearances last season. He's started the year hitless in his first six plate appearances but has drawn a walk and reached base on a hit by pitch. Instead, it'll be Victor Caratini starting behind the plate. The 28-year-old spent last season in San Diego, hitting .227 with a .309 on-base percentage, seven home runs, and a pair of stolen bases in 356 plate appearances. He'll bat ninth against Orioles left-hander Bruce Zimmermann and is probably better left on fantasy benches on Monday.
Milwaukee Brewers catcher Omar Narvaez isn't in the starting lineup for Saturday's game. Narvaez had a hit in three plate appearances on Friday in Milwaukee's series-opening win, but the Brewers will instead turn to Manny Pina behind the plate in Game 2 of the National League Division Series against the Atlanta Braves and left-handed starter Max Fried. Pina finished the regular season hitting .189 with a .293 on-base percentage and 13 home runs in 208 plate appearances. However, the veteran was much more productive against left-handed pitchers. The 34-year-old hit .221 with a .348 on-base percentage and six home runs in 92 regular-season plate appearances against left-handed pitching. Pina is batting eighth on Saturday.
