Victor Mederos Fantasy Stats

The Los Angeles Angels recalled right-hander Victor Mederos from Triple-A Salt Lake on Tuesday, and he will make the spot start against the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers after left-hander Tyler Anderson (back) was scratched from his scheduled start. Mederos, a 24-year-old Cuban native, will be making his first start in the big leagues in just his 10th overall appearance. He made his big-league debut with the Halos back in 2023 and has allowed 12 earned runs on 14 hit (one homer) while walking 13 and striking out 12 in his 12 1/3 innings in the majors. In 19 starts at Salt Lake and High-A Tri-City this year, Medero has a 3.41 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 85:37 K:BB in 103 innings pitched. In what will likely be just one spot start, fantasy managers should look elsewhere against the first-place Dodgers, even if the reigning World Series champs have been cold of late.
