Jamal Murray News
Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray kept up his recent stretch of excellent play in Tuesday's win over Milwaukee. Murray dropped 24 points on 10 of 17 shooting from the field- his fourth straight game shooting at least 50 percent- adding six assists, three boards, two steals, and a triple in 38 minutes. Congratulations if you took the opportunity to buy low on the 24-year-old a few weeks ago because he's been simply amazing over his last eight games. Murray is averaging a 31-5-5 line on 57.7/55.1/90.9 percent shooting splits, which has rocketed him up to the top-50 in category formats. He'll look to keep rolling against the Pacers on Thursday. They've had some trouble against point guards recently.
Denver Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray continued his scoring tear with a 34-point performance in Thursday's loss to Washington, shooting 12-for-23 from the field and sinking six three-point shots with 11 attempts. He added six rebounds, six assists, and two blocks to his line with five turnovers in 42 minutes. Murray's hot streak is at a point where you could say that his 24-point performance in Tuesday's win over Portland was a poor outing. The Thunder tries to slow him down next on Saturday. OKC offers an uncomfortable matchup to point guards, as they are giving up the eighth-fewest points in the league to the position while limiting point guards to 40.6 percent shooting.
Denver Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray had 24 points on his 24th birthday in Tuesday's win over the Trail Blazers. He was held in check for most of the game but then went off for 19 points in the fourth quarter. Murray finished with 7-for-18 shooting from the field and with a 6-for-6 effort at the foul line. He also had a nice 4-for-8 record from downtown, completing his line with eight assists, five rebounds, two steals, and one block. Murray had a slow start to the month, but he has now scored at least 22 points in seven straight games. The streak includes a couple of 30-point efforts and a career-high 50 points on Feb. 19 against Cleveland. He'll be in a crush spot against Washington next, as only San Antonio is allowing more points to point guards than the Wizards.
Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray kept up his recent stretch of excellent play in a losing effort to the Hawks on Sunday. Murray dropped 30 points with four rebounds, four assists, three treys, and two steals in 35 minutes. After being bothered by small injuries throughout the season, the 23-year-old guard seems to look much more healthy- and has the stats to prove it. His points per game, field-goal percentage, three-point percentage, and steals per game are all the highest in February of any month so far this season- and he's now scored 25-plus points in five straight games, the first Nugget to do so since Ty Lawson in 2013. Murray should be a DFS staple on Tuesday against the Blazers, who have allowed the fourth-most FanDuel points to point guards.
