Spencer Jones is Questionable for Game 1 on Saturday

Denver Nuggets forward Spencer Jones (hamstring) is listed as questionable ahead of Saturday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Fellow teammate Peyton Watson (hamstring) has already been ruled out for Game 1, but Jones has a chance to play through his injury. The absence of Watson could potentially mean a bigger role for Jones, assuming he's able to play. It's worth noting that Jones hasn't played since late March. When healthy, Jones was averaging 22.1 minutes per game, but the Nuggets might not push him too hard considering he hasn't played in a few weeks. If they both sit out, Cameron Johnson and Aaron Gordon would likely play heavy minutes with Tim Hardaway Jr. possibly seeing more of a role as well.

Spencer Jones Limited at Wednesday's Practice

Denver Nuggets guard/forward Spencer Jones (hamstring) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice, Brendan Vogt of DNVR Sports reports. He took part only in the non-contact portions of the practice session. Jones sat out the final six regular-season games due to a right hamstring strain. It's uncertain whether he will be cleared to return to action for Saturday's Game 1 against Minnesota. Although Jones hasn't produced any outstanding numbers this season, he has done a solid job during his sophomore campaign, earning a starting spot in 37 of his 64 appearances. The 24-year-old averaged 5.5 points and 3.3 rebounds in 22.1 minutes per game during the regular season. Tim Hardaway Jr. and Bruce Brown will play important roles off the bench against Minnesota if Jones and Peyton Watson (hamstring) remain out on Saturday.

Spencer Jones Remains Sidelined Monday

Denver Nuggets forward Spencer Jones (hamstring) will miss a third straight game Monday against Portland due to a strained right hamstring and could remain sidelined beyond that. His absence leaves Julian Strawther in line for extra depth minutes, though he remains only a fringe fantasy option after posting six points, two three-pointers, and two assists in 11 minutes last game. Strawther's role remains limited behind Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, while Christian Braun and Cameron Johnson should continue handling stable wing minutes. Jones holds little fantasy value outside very deep formats.

Spencer Jones Out Saturday

Denver Nuggets guard/forward Spencer Jones (hamstring) will miss a second straight game on Saturday against the San Antonio Spurs. He suffered a right hamstring strain last week and could be sidelined for the rest of the regular season, as muscle injuries usually take a minimum of 2-3 weeks to heal. The Nuggets have also lost Peyton Watson (hamstring) from the rotation, so Tim Hardaway Jr. (knee), Bruce Brown, and Julian Strawther could see more time on the floor during the final few regular-season games.

Spencer Jones, Julian Strawther Good to Go Vs. Thunder

Denver Nuggets forward Spencer Jones (shoulder) and forward Julian Strawther (toe) are available for Friday's game against Oklahoma City. Jones has been managing a right shoulder strain but will continue in a reserve role after posting six points and seven rebounds in 26 minutes against Boston. He has averaged 5.0 points and 5.3 rebounds in 21.3 minutes over his last four contests and remains a fringe option. Strawther, who has been playing through a left toe sprain, started again Wednesday and recorded 12 points with two triples. He carries deeper-league appeal but remains matchup dependent.

Spencer Jones Remains Sidelined Wednesday

Denver Nuggets guard/forward Spencer Jones (concussion) will not return to action on Wednesday against the Memphis Grizzlies. There was initially a chance Jones would be back after the team listed him as questionable on the injury report. However, he has been ruled out ahead of tip-off. Julian Strawther is set to remain in the starting lineup and has plenty to offer fantasy teams, having averaged 19.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.0 steals over the last two games.

Spencer Jones Uncertain to Play Wednesday vs. Grizzlies

Denver Nuggets guard/forward Spencer Jones (concussion) is listed as questionable for Wednesday against Memphis after missing the past two games. His status matters for the frontcourt rotation, as third-year wing Julian Strawther has filled the opening and produced, averaging 19.5 points, 3.0 three-pointers, and 5.5 rebounds in 31.2 minutes over the last two starts. If Jones sits again, Strawther profiles as a viable streamer with Aaron Gordon (hamstring) and Peyton Watson (hamstring) out. Jones' role has been volatile, keeping him off the fantasy radar outside deep leagues, while usage remains concentrated with Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic.

Spencer Jones to Remain Out Monday

Denver Nuggets guard/forward Spencer Jones (concussion) will miss a second straight game on Monday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The 24-year-old suffered a head injury against the New York Knicks on Wednesday night and must clear concussion protocol before he can return to action. Jones has been a regular starter for Denver since late November, averaging 7.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.0 steals in the first unit. With Jones unavailable on Saturday against the Chicago Bulls, Julian Strawther got a look in the starting lineup, picking up 19 points, five rebounds, and two steals. He may have an even more important role on Monday, depending on Jamal Murray's (hip) status.

Spencer Jones, Bruce Brown Available Wednesday

Denver Nuggets guard/forward Spencer Jones (ankle) and guard/forward Bruce Brown (knee) will remain in the lineup on Wednesday versus the Dallas Mavericks. Jones and Brown were both listed on Denver's injury report -- Jones as probable and Brown as questionable. In Tuesday's win over New Orleans, they had similar workloads: Jones started and played 23 minutes, while Brown logged 24 minutes off the bench. Neither offers much fantasy upside at this time.

Spencer Jones May Miss Another Game Sunday

Denver Nuggets guard/forward Spencer Jones (ankle, illness) is listed as questionable for Sunday's meeting with the Milwaukee Bucks. He hurt his left ankle this week and is also battling an illness. Due to his health issues, Jones may be absent for a second consecutive game. If Jones doesn't return on Sunday, Hunter Tyson could make a second consecutive start. On Friday, he was in the first unit for only the third time in his career, finishing a heavy loss to the Atlanta Hawks with 10 points, four rebounds, four assists, and one steal.
