Marvin Bagley III News
Sacramento Kings power forward Marvin Bagley III (groin) and small/power forward Harrison Barnes (groin) have been deemed unavailable for Thursday's contest against Memphis. With De'Aaron Foxstill also sidelined, Buddy Hield should have relative carte blanche offensively, while Richaun Holmes is a candidate to see a sizable front-court role. Bagley returned to average 15.8 points and 7.2 boards over his last six outings, but with Sacramento up against elimination, the organization could opt to play it safe with the 22-year-old over the final two games of the regular season. Barnes has not suited up since April 26, with Maurice Harkless and Terence Davis being the biggest beneficiaries of his absence. The next chance for Bagley/Barnes to return comes Friday in a rematch with the Grizzlies.
Sacramento Kings power forward Marvin Bagley III produced a very good bounce-back effort in Sunday's 126-98 win over OKC, following up a four-point dud with 13 points and nine rebounds in 21 minutes. He also had a pair of assists and one block with two turnovers, while shooting 5-for-7 from the field and 3-for-4 at the charity stripe. Bagley should be set for another fine outing on Tuesday in a rematch with the Thunder, who struggle on the glass and can't defend power forwards.
Sacramento Kings power forward Marvin Bagley III recorded a nice double-double in Wednesday's win over Indiana, finishing with a game-high 31 points on 13-for-22 shooting and collecting 12 rebounds. He logged 35 minutes of action and shot 5-for-8 at the charity stripe. Bagley has worked his way back from injury and is steadily returning to form. The Kings are fighting hard to grab a play-in spot and Bagley should feature heavily in their efforts, which resume with a key matchup against San Antonio on Friday. Just 2.5 games separate these two. The Spurs have a decent defensive record against opposing power forwards, but they allow the third-most rebounds per 48 minutes to the position.
Sacramento Kings power forward Marvin Bagley III looked good in his second game back from injury on Sunday, finishing a 111-99 win over the Mavericks with 23 points, nine rebounds, three assists and one steal. He missed only six of his 16 shots and was 1-for-3 with the three-ball. Bagley played only 21 minutes in his first game back against the Lakers, but his playing time was ramped up to 34 minutes here. He'll hope to get as many minutes as he can in Tuesday's matchup against the Thunder, who are getting crushed by everybody at the moment. Three of the Kings' remaining eight games are against OKC, so the players are set to provide plenty of nice lines to fantasy managers during the final stretch.
