Rockets
Houston Rockets forward Cam Whitmore (knee) is available ahead of Friday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. Whitemore was able to play through the knee issue on Wednesday, so it appears to be a minor issue. He finished with four points across eight minutes of action. He's unlikely to see consistent playing time with Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks (knee) both healthy. The 20-year-old can probably be avoided in most fantasy formats right now.

Cam Whitmore Continues Domination In Summer League
Houston Rockets forward Cam Whitmore stood out against the Wizards at both ends of the floor in Sunday's 109-91 Summer League win. The 20-year-old led all scorers with 25 points on 9-for-15 shooting and racked up eight rebounds, four assists, five steals, and one block. Whitmore, who was named the Las Vegas Summer League MVP last year, also produced a dominant two-way performance against the Lakers on Friday. The Villanova product showed a lot of upside after breaking into the rotation during the second half of the season in 2023-24, and it looks like Whitmore could bring even more to the table during his sophomore campaign.

Cam Whitmore Returns With Minutes Restriction
Houston Rockets forward Cam Whitmore (ankle) will rejoin the action on Sunday versus Dallas but will carry a minutes restriction. His playing time will be capped at around 20 minutes as Houston doesn't want to push Whitmore too hard after seeing him miss nine games with a sprained knee. The 19-year-old has actually averaged 17.8 minutes for his rookie campaign, so Whitmore could still be able to provide his normal production. He's posted 12.1 points and 3.9 rebounds for the season. Whitmore's return could rob a few minutes off Amen Thompson, but he's played very well lately and should continue to carry plenty of fantasy value.

Cam Whitmore Out "Roughly" Three Weeks
Houston Rockets forward Cam Whitmore (knee) will miss about three weeks as the season winds down. Whitmore is dealing with a sore right knee sprain that already had him ruled out for Tuesday's game against the San Antonio Spurs. Rockets head coach Ime Udoka confirmed that Whitmore will be out for "roughly three weeks" and will be re-evaluated around that time. The rookie averages 12.1 points on 46% shooting from the field, with 3.9 rebounds and 1.6 three-pointers made per game. Whitmore's absence should open more minutes for reserve forwards Jeff Green and Jae'Sean Tate. Fellow rookie Amen Thompson is already bound for a bigger role after getting slotted into the starting lineup in place of injured center Alperen Sengun, and this only helps his value.

Cam Whitmore Returning Against Pelicans
Houston Rockets head coach Ime Udoka says forward Cam Whitmore (ankle) will play against the New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday. After spraining his right ankle on Feb. 9, Whitmore returned to Wednesday's practice and is good to go on Thursday following a three-game absence. New Orleans resides seventh in the Association in defensive efficiency (110.6), so the Villanova product will only be a deep-league fantasy streamer for points and three-pointers off the Rockets bench with Fred VanVleet (adductor) back in the fold.

Tari Eason, Cam Whitmore Out Against Memphis
Houston Rockets forwards Tari Eason (leg) and Cam Whitmore (ankle) remain sidelined for Wednesday's tilt against the Memphis Grizzlies. No surprise here on Eason's front, as head coach Ime Udoka revealed before Monday's win over the New York Knicks that the 2022 first-rounder is still experiencing "lingering pain" in his left lower leg stemming from a stress reaction in the preseason. Whitmore will miss a third straight game due to a sprained right ankle, and Feb. 22's matchup with the New Orleans Pelicans will be both players' next chance to return. With Fred VanVleet (adductor) also out, Aaron Holiday is averaging 14.0 points, 4.0 assists, and 2.3 treys on 42.9% shooting from beyond the arc in 24.9 minutes over his past four games as Houston's sixth man and is a short-term fantasy solution for points, threes, and dimes until the team gets healthier.

Cam Whitmore Out With Ankle Sprain
Houston Rockets forward Cam Whitmore (ankle) will miss Monday's meeting with the New York Knicks. Whitmore sprained his right ankle following 18 minutes of action in Friday's narrow defeat to the Toronto Raptors, and he'll have one more chance to return prior to the All-Star break when the Rockets clash with the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday. Aaron Holiday has stepped up to serve as Houston's sixth man off the bench in Whitmore's place, most recently averaging 12.7 points on 57.7% shooting from the floor, 4.0 assists, and 2.3 threes in 24.5 minutes covering his past three games, which have all come without Fred VanVleet (adductor) as well. Whitmore and VanVleet's absences keep Holiday in play as a deep-league streamer for points, threes, and dimes, but he'll be a hit-or-miss fantasy option against a stingy Knicks defense.

Cam Whitmore Named Summer League MVP
Houston Rockets guard Cam Whitmore fell in the draft, but reminded everyone of his talent during the Summer League. The 19-year-old averaged 20.4 points, 5.6 assists, 2.4 assists, 3.0 steals and 2.4 threes per game as he helped the Rockets achieve a 5-0 record. Houston is set to play the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Summer League Finals on Monday. The Rockets selected Whitmore with the 20th overall pick in this year's draft. Right now, he's looking like a steal, but we'll see if he can keep it going into the regular season.

Cam Whitmore Erratic In Summer League Win
Houston Rockets forward Cam Whitmore registered 16 points on 6-for-14 shooting from the floor with eight rebounds, three assists, and three steals in Tuesday's 105-92 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. The 19-year-old turned it over six times and also struggled with just 1-of-8 shooting from deep and 3-for-6 at the line. Whitmore didn't have a lot of help in this one with Jabari Smith Jr. and Tari Eason shut down for Summer League play. Even so, Whitmore managed an uneven, yet decent line overall. 2023's No. 20 overall pick has a lot to prove after tumbling down the draft board last month. Whitmore's ability to contribute in multiple areas should make him an ideal late-round fantasy flier in fall drafts. Dillon Brooks is penciled in as the starting small forward for now, but Whitmore might give him all he can handle.
