Christian Braun Gets Starting Nod

Denver Nuggets guard Christian Braun will move into the starting five ahead of Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. The 22-year-old will be the lone change to the starting five on Saturday. Fellow guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (personal) will sit this game out which will give Braun an expanded role. Despite the extra minutes, Braun isn't an ideal streaming option for Saturday's slate. He hasn't been able to do much on the court lately with five points or less in three of his last four games.

Christian Braun Confident Of Playing Better After Break

Denver Nuggets guard/forward Christian Braun hopes to get healthy over the All-Star break, which would then allow him to produce better performances. The 22-year-old was expected to make a big step up in 2023-24, but he hasn't gained any momentum due to health issues holding him back. While averaging 19.0 minutes off the bench, Braun has put up 7.0 points with 3.5 rebounds. "I don't want to sit here and make any excuses, but it hasn't been great," Braun told Sean Keeler of The Denver Post. "(It's been) one thing after another. But I feel all right I think this break for me, personally, will be great for my body. I think that's the biggest thing for me right now, is getting my body back. (It) hasn't felt great all year."

Christian Braun Expected To Play Bigger Role

Denver Nuggets guard/forward Christian Braun could see himself with a bigger role on the team next season. It sounds like the organization believes Braun could be a critical piece to this rotation. The team praised his defensive toughness and fundamentals during the postseason. The 22-year-old is expected to have more minutes coming his way with the departure of Bruce Brown. Last season, Braun averaged 4.7 points, 2.4 rebounds, 0.8 assists in 15.5 minutes per game across 76 games with the Nuggets. He won't be someone that will fly off draft boards in fantasy leagues. However, Braun is someone worth keeping an eye on as the season begins.

Christian Braun Produces 15 Points In 19 Minutes

Denver Nuggets guard/forward Christian Braun made an outstanding contribution off the bench in Wednesday's Game 3 victory over Miami, posting 15 points on 7-for-8 shooting and picking up four rebounds, one assist and one steal in just 19 minutes of action. Braun also provided the Nuggets with a great spark off the bench in Game 2, coming up with three steals and showing off good finishing ability around the rim. His minutes have been steadily climbing in the series, and Braun could play an even bigger role in Friday's Game 4 as the Nuggets look to grab a 3-1 series lead.

Christian Braun Compiles 12 Boards, Three Blocks On Wednesday

Denver Nuggets rookie forward Christian Braun put up some solid stats in the team's Summer League game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday. He grabbed a game-high 12 boards, including five offensive rebounds, while also adding eight points, five assists, three blocks and one steal. Braun has had some trouble shooting the ball so far this summer and those struggles continued in Wednesday's game as he went 1-for-10 from the field and 0-for-5 from three-point range. The 21-year-old was selected 21st overall in this year's draft. He likely won't be a regular part of the team's rotation as a rookie this year.

Christian Braun Drops Team-High 18 Points In Summer League

Denver Nuggets shooting guard Christian Braun delivered a team-best 18-point performance in Friday's Summer League loss to Minnesota. Braun shot just 1-for-7 from long range, but he took a team-leading 17 shots, making eight. In addition to the scoring, he snatched six rebounds and dished out three assists, showcasing the all-around appeal that he could bring to the Denver rotation. The 21-year-old was chosen with the 21st overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft and head coach Michael Malone has already conceded that the rookie could play minutes off the bench to begin the year. While his redraft ceiling remains capped, Braun's dynasty league stock trends upward with each impressive showing.

Denver Believes Christian Braun Can See Minutes In 2022-23

The Denver Nuggets drafted shooting guard Christian Braun with the 21st overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. Head coach Michael Malone reiterated Wednesday that he believes Braun could crack the team's rotation during the upcoming year, saying per Harrison Wind of DNVR Sports, "I love his maturity. I love his IQ." The Nuggets will have a somewhat new-look backcourt to begin the year, with Jamal Murray expected to return and hold down the point guard position after a year out. Behind him, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Ish Smith join a group that is down Will Barton and Monte Morris. Last season at Kansas, the 6-foot-7 Braun averaged 14.1 points and 6.5 boards per game, all while shooting 49.5 percent overall.
