Kobe Bufkin Fantasy Stats

The New Orleans Pelicans have agreed to a one-year deal with guard Kobe Bufkin, per Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. The No. 15 pick in 2023, Bufkin has played 43 NBA games across three seasons with the Hawks and Lakers, but he revived his stock last season, averaging 24.8 points on 41.9 percent from three for the G League's South Bay Lakers before dropping 21.3 per game in Summer League. This is a training camp deal, and he will battle for an open roster spot behind Dejounte Murray and Jeremiah Fears. Bufkin is a deep-dynasty flier, but he must make the team and earn minutes before he holds any redraft value.

The Brooklyn Nets have waived guard Kobe Bufkin, according to ESPN's Shams Charania. The Nets traded cash considerations over the offseason for the former 15th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. Unfortunately, Bufkin never really found his footing with Atlanta over the past two seasons, and a shoulder surgery cut his season short last year. Since being drafted, the Michigan product has appeared in 27 games and averaged 5.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.6 assists across 11.9 minutes per contest. Bufkin isn't even on the fantasy radar for redraft leagues, and after being waived, he's not even much of a stash for managers in dynasty leagues either.

The Brooklyn Nets are acquiring guard Kobe Bufkin from the Atlanta Hawks for cash considerations, sources have told ESPN's Shams Charania. The Hawks selected Bufkin 15th in the 2023 draft, but injuries have severely limited his development. Last season, Bufkin's campaign ended in December due to shoulder surgery. He made 10 appearances, averaging 5.3 points and 1.7 assists in 12.4 minutes. Bufkin gets a fresh start in Brooklyn, although the Nets' backcourt currently appears very crowded, making it difficult to project what the rotation might look like.

Atlanta Hawks point guard Kobe Bufkin (shoulder) is expected to return to the court in the Las Vegas Summer League. The 21-year-old saw his 2024-25 campaign end early due to a right shoulder surgery. Before he was shut down in December, Bufkin averaged 5.3 points and 1.7 assists in 12.4 minutes. Due to health issues, Bufkin has made only 27 appearances during his first two NBA seasons. According to Grant Afseth of RG, Bufkin "has impressed coaches and staff with his rhythm, athleticism, and poise in open runs" since he was medically cleared. While Bufkin is set for a comeback in Las Vegas, Afseth notes that he may only appear in a few games.

Atlanta Hawks guard Kobe Bufkin (shoulder) will miss the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign. The 21-year-old has appeared in only 27 games during his two-year career. He has also played sparingly, averaging only 5.0 points in 11.9 minutes per contest. Unfortunately, Bufkin will need surgery to address instability in his right shoulder. With that said, now is not the time for dynasty managers to move him, considering his value can't get much lower. However, the 2023 No. 15 overall pick is talented enough to turn things around, although he'll need to figure out how to stay healthy.

Atlanta Hawks guard Kobe Bufkin (shoulder) suffered a right shoulder injury in Saturday's practice and is now undergoing some testing and evaluation. As reported by Kevin Chouinard, Bufkin is already ruled out for Wednesday's season opener against the Brooklyn Nets due to his shoulder issue. He may have to miss more time, but that won't be clear until the test results come back. In the meantime, Dyson Daniels and Vit Krejci should see some added minutes as well as Bogdan Bogdanovic.

Atlanta Hawks guard Kobe Bufkin (shoulder) won't play in the Las Vegas Summer League. The 2023 No. 15 overall pick suffered a right shoulder injury during a practice session on Tuesday night, with an MRI revealing "findings consistent with right shoulder subluxation." He's expected to be ready for training camp. However, Bufkin appeared in only 17 games during his inaugural year due to a thumb injury, so his latest injury is still concerning. He also averaged just 4.8 points, meaning his fantasy stock can't get much lower heading into the 2024-25 campaign.

Atlanta Hawks guard Kobe Bufkin (toe) has been cleared to return to the lineup on Monday versus Chicago. He will be back in action after missing 14 games with a sprained big toe. Bufkin's return should ease Dejounte Murray's load, with Trent Forrest being pushed into the third point guard role. However, Bufkin won't be playing enough to warrant selection from fantasy managers. He's logged only 9.9 minutes per game across nine appearances during his rookie season, averaging 3.7 points and 1.7 assists.

Atlanta Hawks guard Kobe Bufkin (toe) has been listed as questionable for Monday's matchup against Chicago. He's been out for 14 games with a sprained toe, but there appears to be a chance Bufkin will jump back into action on Monday. He would play the backup point guard role behind Dejounte Murray, pushing Trent Forrest to the end of the bench. Before getting hurt, Bufkin averaged 7.3 points and 3.7 assists across three games in a larger role without Trae Young (finger).

Atlanta Hawks guard Kobe Bufkin (toe) will miss a 14th consecutive game on Saturday against Milwaukee. He's been out since March 5 with a left big toe sprain. Atlanta has had some awful luck with injuries during the latter half of the season, and Bufkin is one of six guys unavailable for Saturday's game. Vit Krejci and Garrison Mathews have been major beneficiaries in the injury situation, but the two have brought very little to the table for fantasy managers. The backcourt absentees also put a lot of responsibility on Dejounte Murray, who's attempted 86 shots across the past three games, averaging 31.0 points and 9.7 assists.
