Dallas Mavericks guard Tim Hardaway Jr. (leg) will miss Thursday night's game against the Sacramento Kings along with the rest of the season. Coach Rick Carlisle confirmed Hardaway will be shut down to let his stress reaction in his leg heal. Hardaway missed about a month last season with the stress reaction and Dallas has nothing to play for this season. Hopefully for Hardaway there were no setbacks in his leg and this is merely a management move to keep the player away from unneeded stress. Without Hardaway, Dorian Finney-Smith, Justin Jackson and Trey Burke figure to be the top candidates for the starting lineup.
Dallas Mavericks shooting guard/small forward Tim Hardaway Jr. provided a team-high 21 points on Saturday, but it was not enough in the 125-109 loss to the Jazz. Hardaway Jr. managed to add five rebounds with four assists while connecting on two makes from three on the night. Since arriving in Dallas, the wing player is putting up 16.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.1 assists while draining 41.2% of his shots from the floor which is an improvement from his 38.8% he shot for the Knicks before coming over this season.
Dallas Mavericks shooting guard/small forward Tim Hardaway Jr.'s 20 points were not enough in the 11-point defeat at the hands of the Heat on Wednesday. Hardaway Jr. connected on 7-for-15 shooting and added two rebounds with two assists while draining four of 11 attempts from downtown in this one. THJ should continue to get heavy minutes in Dallas and his shot attempts will be there. Owners are probably hoping for better efficiencies as the wing is shooting just 39% from the floor on the season.
