The New Orleans Pelicans agreed to a deal which nets them forward Brandon Ingram, guard Lonzo Ball and swingman Josh Hart, as well as three first-round draft picks, while the Los Angeles Lakers nab power forward/center Anthony Davis. One of the picks the Pels receive will be the No. 4 overall selection in the 2019 NBA Draft, too. Ingram (arm) had thoracic outlet decompression surgery on his right arm in March, and the timetable called for a recovery in the neighborhood of June or July. In his final six games of the regular season he rolled up 27.8 points per game while snagging 7.5 boards per contest. If he can manage that type of production in the Crescent City over a much larger span, watch out. The Lakers might regret letting him get away. He is a budding fantasy superstar as long as he can stay healthy.
Los Angeles Lakers guard/forward Brandon Ingram (arm) is expected to miss the rest of the regular season, Ingram missed the last two games due to a sore shoulder. However, the Lakers did further testing and it revealed a Deep Venous Thrombosis in his arm. It's unfortunate as Ingram was playing some of the best basketball of his career. Lance Stephenson, Reggie Bullock, and Josh Hart are expected to soak up the extra playing time.
Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard/small forward Brandon Ingram will be unable to suit up for Wednesdays outing against the Denver Nuggets due to shoulder soreness. His absence creates an opportunity for Josh Hart, who will enter the starting five in his place and become a DFS darling at his low price tag. With Kyle Kuzma (ankle) also sidelined, LeBron James will be asked to carry an even larger load than usual. Ingram, who has averaged 27.8 points per game since the All-Star break, has his next chance to return to action Saturday against the Boston Celtics.
