Toronto Raptors Starting Lineup
- Eastern Atlantic
- Stadium
- Scotiabank Arena
Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet is likely to have his minutes trimmed next season, according to head coach Nick Nurse. He played 37.9 minutes per game, which tied Pascal Siakam for the most on the team. Vanvleet also missed 17 games due to injury, so the hope is that less playing time will help him stay healthy. Although, it's easier said than done to cut down Vanvleet's minutes. Regardless, fantasy managers should expect Vanvleet to have a significant role on the team next season.
Toronto Raptors shooting guard Gary Trent Jr. finished with 19 points, two assists and one turnover in Thursday's 132-97 Game 6 loss against the Philadelphia 76ers. Trent Jr. shot 7-for-15 from the field, 2-for-6 from three-point range and 3-for-3 from the free-throw line in the contest. The entire Raptors team went cold from three-point range, shooting 7-for-35 overall from beyond the arc, for a mark of 20 percent. Trent Jr. had a terrific season in his first full year with the Raptors, as he provided early-round fantasy value across standard formats as a result of his scoring, great three-point shooting and improvement defensively as one of the NBA's leaders in steals per game. Trent Jr. will be a quality selection across all fantasy drafts in the fall.
Toronto Raptors forward Scottie Barnes finished with 18 points, seven rebounds, three assists, one steal and two turnovers on 8-for-20 shooting from the field and 2-for-7 from three-point range in Thursday's 132-97 Game 6 loss against the Philadelphia 76ers. Barnes concluded his rookie season in the NBA with a solid performance despite struggling with his shot, and finishing with five fouls in the contest. Barnes took home the rookie of the year award this season and he will be a popular draft target across all fantasy formats heading into the upcoming season.
Toronto Raptors power forward Chris Boucher finished with a team-high 25 points and added 10 rebounds for a double-double off of the bench in Thursday's 132-97 Game 6 loss against the Philadelphia 76ers. Boucher was terrific in the sixth game of the series as he shot 7-for-13 from the field, 2-for-6 from three-point range, and 9-for-10 from the free throw line in the contest. Boucher will be an unrestricted free agent this summer, but the 29-year-old has a chance to be a very valuable fantasy contributor for the upcoming season depending on his destination in free agency.
Toronto Raptors power forward Pascal Siakam finished with 24 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, three steals and three turnovers on 9-for-17 shooting from the field in Thursday's 132-97 Game 6 loss against the Philadelphia 76ers. Siakam kept the Raptors in the first half of the game and played 43:47 in the last game of the first round matchup, finishing with a productive performance throughout the series. Siakam had a career-year in many categories including rebounds, assists and steals per game, and the 28-year-old will be drafted in the early rounds of fantasy basketball leagues in the fall.
