Kapri Bibbs News
Washington Redskins running back Kapri Bibbs converted one of his four total touches into a touchdown in Sunday's loss to Atlanta. Game flow prevented the Redskins from leaning on anyone in their backfield enough to sustain fantasy production, but it's disappointing nonetheless that Bibbs didn't see more work in the passing game after he appeared to be trending in the right direction two weeks ago when Chris Thompson was inactive. Bibbs would continue to be the primary beneficiary if Thompson misses more time, but his volume has been too scarce to consider him a starting option in any fantasy format.
Washington Redskins wide receiver Paul Richardson (knee, shoulder) and running back Kapri Bibbs (shoulder) are both active for Week 9 against the Falcons. With Richardson active, Brian Quick is a healthy scratch. Richardson will effectively be the team's No. 1 wideout with Jamison Crowder still out, but he is still more of a low-ceiling WR4/flex in a weak passing offense. Bibbs has sneaky RB3/flex and DFS value with Chris Thompson (ribs) out again against a defense that bleeds fantasy points to pass-catching running backs each week. If Washington is forced to play from behind, Bibbs could see a lot of work behind workhorse Adrian Peterson.
Washington Redskins running back Kapri Bibbs is set to back up Adrian Peterson on Sunday with the likelihood that Chris Thompson misses the game against the Falcons. Bibbs disappeared from the offense (as expected) when Thompson returned in Week 8, but now could be in line to build on his slight uptick in volume from Week 7. Bibbs started to get involved in the passing game two weeks ago, catching four passes and scoring a touchdown on one of them. The Falcons are allowing an average of 68 receiving yards to running backs and nearly nine catches per game. There's considerable risk in starting a third-string running back, but Bibbs could yield a modest outing in deep PPR leagues.
