  • Jordan Howard Looking Forward To Less Predictable Offense

Chicago Bears running back Jordan Howard is looking forward to a less predictable offense under new head coach Matt Nagy in 2018. The offense last season under head coach John Fox and offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains ranked third to last in the league with 287.4 yards per game, and they were dead last with 175.7 passing yards per game. "I felt great about that because last year we were pretty much basic and everybody knew what we were going do, they knew what was coming pretty much every play so it was pretty easy for them to stop us," Howard said when asked for his reaction to Nagy saying the Bears new offense would be fun. "Now, I feel like we're going to be a lot more creative and have defenses off balance." Not helping matters was the fact that Chicago's receiving corps was among the worst in the league, so opposing defenses sold out to stop Howard and the run game, but he still managed his second straight 1,000-yard season and scored nine touchdowns on the ground. With more offensive weapons around him and improved quarterback play from Mitch Trubisky, Howard should remain a fine RB1.

  • Jordan Howard's Season Ends With A Thud

Chicago Bears running back Jordan Howard carried the ball nine times for only nine yards in the Bears Week 17 loss to the Vikings 23-10. The Bears offense couldn't get anything going on the ground and Howard's impressive sophomore season ends with a dud. Howard saw a couple of red-zone carries in the second half, but the Bears banged-up offensive line gave Howard no holes to shoot through. Howard now has two 1,000-yard seasons to start his career but has been limited at times this season because of poor game script. Howard will need to work on his pass-catching abilities if he wants to take his game to another level next year.

  • Jordan Howard Gets Tough Matchup Against Vikings

Chicago Bears running back Jordan Howard will go up against a Vikings defense that has allowed the fewest fantasy points to runners this season. Howard is sitting on nine rushing touchdowns heading into the final week and is looking to become the first Bears running back to score 10 touchdowns since Raymont Harris in 1997. Howard put up 76 yards against the Vikings in Week 5 but it will be tough sledding against a defensive front that has allowed only seven rushing touchdowns all season. Howard will be an RB2 with a low floor for the final game of the season.
