  • Matt Ryan Looking to Bounce Back in Week 15

Regression would be a fair description of Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan's performance Thursday versus the New Orleans Saints. After three straight games without throwing an interception, Ryan was picked three times by the Saints defense. Whether his mistakes could be blamed on Ryan and the Falcons only having four days of rest and prep between their Week 13 and 14 matchups, or the Saints defense, Ryan has had 11 days to recover and practice, which should help improve his performance. This week should also prove kinder because Ryan and the Falcons play the Monday night game in Tampa Bay versus the Buccaneers. Previously in Week 12, Ryan threw for 317 yards and one touchdown when the Falcons played the Buccaneers at home. Ryan should be able to bounce back from his poor Week 14 performance with a decent return against the Buccaneers this week, making him a medium-floor start this week.

  • Matt Ryan Throws Three Interceptions Versus The Saints

Atlanta Falcons' quarterback Matt Ryan completed 15 of 27 passing attempts for 221 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions. The short week clearly wasn't in Ryan's favor, and his three interceptions ends a three-game stretch without a pick. The interceptions in this game are troubling, especially the first, which was simply a poorly thrown pass, but could be attributed to Ryan and Falcons only having four days to recover and practice for this weeks' game. While it might help explain some of Ryan's sloppy play, it doesn't change the fact that Ryan simply looked bad this week. The good news is that Ryan will get 11 days of rest before he and the Falcons play their next game on the road Monday night versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Hopefully, the rest and preparation will lead to a better fantasy performance from Ryan.

  • Matt Ryan Should Bounce Back in Week 14

If the Minnesota Vikings defense was a test, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan wouldn't be hanging his grade on the refrigerator. Ryan passed for a paltry 173 yards versus the Vikings defense and didn't find the end zone, leaving him with an abysmal fantasy performance. This week, the Falcons have the short week as they play host to the visiting New Orleans Saints, a team whose defense is currently ranked 13th in fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. While the Saints defense is average in fantasy points allowed, they've been solid in takeaways, currently tied for ninth with 11 interceptions. The short week isn't great for Ryan, but he is at home, so Ryan should bounce back from his Week 13 performance this week, making him a solid start.
