Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator Norv Turner believes that quarterback Cam Newton can be the most efficient passer in the league. Turner has been impressed with Newton's work ethic and how receptive he is in learning the new offense. Newton is coming off two down years after winning the MVP in 2015, and he'll be in a new system that will focus on more play-action and high-percentage throws. "I see Cam as a guy that can be in the mid- to high-60s in the completion percentage," Turner said. In his career, Newton has a 58.5 completion percentage. With perhaps more efficiency this year, Newton also has a better supporting cast of playmakers around him, so he could be looking at a bounce-back season.

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was involved in a car accident with a dump truck on Thursday, but he was uninjured. He was driving a matte black Ferrari F12 when the accident occured. Newton was OK and was seen walking around the car. Newton is a QB1 in fantasy football and makes plays happens with his legs, setting him apart from most other signal callers. He could be better in the passing department in 2018, too, under new offensive coordinator Norv Turner.

Carolina Panthers quarterbacks coach Scott Turner, the son of offensive coodinator Norv Turner, said the team won't keep quarterback Cam Newton from running. "He's going to run -; that's what makes him the dynamic player he is -; but also making the throws in the pocket, going through his reads. All of those things come from experience, and he's played seven seasons now," Scott Turner said. Coming off offseason shoulder surgery, Newton was highly inconsistent with his accuracy last year, and he's only completed 58.5 percent of his passes in his career, something that the team wants to improve. Newton was highly inconsistent for his fantasy owners, too, but the saving grace was his league-leading and career-high 754 rushing yards. The fact that Cam will continue to use his legs to make big plays will keep him in the conversation as a QB1 in 2018.
