Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell will not report to the team by the 4 pm ET deadline on Tuesday and is ineligible to play for the rest of the 2018 season, according to sources. He will become an unrestricted free agent this winter. Bell passed up $14.544 million guaranteed by not signing his franchise tender this year. He's one of the most dynamic running backs in the NFL when he's on the field, but it's quite possible we've already seen the best from him in a Pittsburgh offense that was truly potent with both him and receiver Antonio Brown. James Conner has been a strong RB1 in Bell's absence and will remain so moving forward as long as he gets cleared from his concussion in Week 11.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Saturday night that sources told him that they don't expect Le'Veon Bell to report to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Tuesday. Bell has until this Tuesday to join the team in order to accrue enough service time to become a free agent following the season. That being the case, most onlookers expected him to join the team by that date at the very latest. There had been reports of Bell being spotted in Pittsburgh last week and he very well still could end up reporting to the team and ending his holdout. Either way, the long, drawn-out drama will thankfully come to an end by Tuesday of this week.

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell is in Pittsburgh, but it's still unknown if he plans to report to the team by the deadline on Tuesday, Nov. 13. The team wants Bell back very badly, but we'll have to wait and see if Bell wants to play for the rest of the season. We'd like to think that Bell would return at some point between now and next Tuesday, but it wouldn't be a surprise if he didn't. Most people around the industry probably never would've predicted that Bell would have sat out this long. If he does return, he won't be a lock to play in Week 11 and would likely be eased into the backfield alongside James Conner, who has been an RB1 for fantasy owners all season with Bell not around. Conner owners are crossing their fingers that Bell chooses to remain away, while Bell owners are hoping they can get something out of their first-round pick in 2018.
