Eric Ebron Leads Team in Receptions in AFC Divisional Round

Indianapolis Colts tight end Eric Ebron caught five of his nine targets for 51 receiving yards in a 13-31 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Divisional Round. Ebron finished the contest tied for the most receptions on the Colts with teammate Chester Rogers, but the statistics don't tell the complete story. Fantasy owners saw Ebron score 10 points in PPR formats, but he was guilty of dropping a critical third down pass on the Colts opening drive, running a route poorly that could have gone for a first down, and committing a false start penalty. That same inconsistency marred his 2018 campaign, though the former Detroit Lion outperformed expectations by hauling in 14 touchdowns passes as a pleasant surprise for fantasy owners in need at the tight end position. The return of Jack Doyle next year threatens to make Ebron one of the most overvalued fantasy tight ends in 2019 drafts, but Indianapolis's offseason moves and preseason matchups will offer hints into whether his usage will be even remotely the same.

Eric Ebron, Dontrelle Inman Return To Practice

Indianapolis Colts tight end Eric Ebron (hip) and wide receiver Dontrelle Inman (finger, shoulder) both returned to a limited practice on Wednesday after sitting out on Tuesday. Ebron leads all tight ends with 14 total touchdowns on the season and will be a popular DFS pick in a potential shootout. Inman has become heavily involved in the offense behind T.Y. Hilton and has scored a touchdown in the last three games. He definitely has DFS appeal against KC's beatable secondary this weekend.

T.Y. Hilton, Eric Ebron, Dontrelle Inman Miss Practice

Indianapolis Colts wide receivers T.Y. Hilton (ankle), Dontrelle Inman (finger, shoulder) and Ryan Grant (toe) and tight end Eric Ebron (hip) all missed practice on Tuesday. Grant sat out in the wild-card win and will be questionable to play against the Chiefs this Saturday. While Hilton hasn't practiced much at all to close out the year, he hasn't missed any games and could have a monster game against KC in what's expected to be a high-scoring contest. The same can be said for Ebron, who has become one of the most reliable fantasy tight ends this year. Inman has emerged as the No. 2 wideout behind Hilton and will also have plenty of DFS appeal against the Chiefs.
