Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane said he will wait until this summer to see how wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin fits into the offensive system before they decide to approach him about extending his contract. It makes sense after Benjamin had just 16 catches for 217 yards and one touchdown in six games with Buffalo last year after being traded over from the Panthers. Benjamin wasn't fully healthy, so the Bills probably want to wait until he proves his health and proves that he's a scheme fit. Benjamin is the unquestioned top receiver for the Bills, but he doesn't have much help around him, and Buffalo's quarterback situation is shaky as well.

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin (knee), who had surgery in the offseason, took part in the start of voluntary offseason workouts on Monday. While Benjamin likely isn't 100 percent, it's a great sign that he'll be able to participate full in organized team activities, barring any setbacks. Benjamin disappointed fighting through injuries in six games for Buffalo last year after being traded from the Panthers, catching 16 passes for 217 yards and one score. When healthy, he'll be the team's clear No. 1 wideout, but the quarterback problem remains an issue for his fantasy upside.

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin underwent knee surgery after the season but is expected to be ready for organized team activities. Benjamin suffered a torn meniscus in the first quarter of his first game with the Bills after they acquired him from the Panthers at the trade deadline. He ended up playing through it, but Benjamin was obviously never 100 percent. Benjamin is under contract for one more year at $8.459 million.
