New York Giants running back Wayne Gallman got involved on Thursday night against the Eagles. Though rookie running back Saquon Barkley monopolized much of the team's offense, Gallman still saw five targets in the matchup, hauling in two receptions for 25 yards. With quarterback Eli Manning having protection and accuracy issues, he may continue to resort to short, dump passes until things get figured out. Nonetheless, Gallman has a way to go before he is relevant from a fantasy standpoint, but he could be in line for some extra attention, and as a result, you may want to keep an eye on him moving forward in the event he gets more included offensively.
New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard (back) and running back Wayne Gallman (knee) were taken off the final injury report for Week 2 against the Cowboys. Shepard is a WR4/flex play in a much better matchup against a beat up Dallas secondary. Gallman will split backup repetitions with Jonathan Stewart behind rookie Saquon Barkley. He has no standalone value in fantasy.
New York Giants running back Wayne Gallman (knee), who injured his knee in Week 1 against the Jaguars, said he will be ready to go in Week 2. Gallman had been working as rookie Saquon Barkley's backup before exiting. He had one carry for negative-one yard and two catches for nine yards before returning. Gallman is strictly a weak handcuff for Barkley owners in deeper leagues. Veteran Jonathan Stewart is also in the picture as a backup in New York.
