De'Vondre Campbell Fantasy

Linebacker De'Vondre Campbell will return to Green Bay on a five-year, $50 million deal. Despite the team's salary cap concerns, the front office appears committed to getting Aaron Rodgers everything he needs to win another Super Bowl by bringing back a familiar face on the defensive end. While most thought Campbell's best days were behind him, his career was resurrected in Green Bay by finishing with a career-high 146 tackles along with two sacks and two interceptions. The veteran also had less than six tackles in a game only twice during the 2021-22 campaign, so he's someone to watch for managers in IDP formats.

Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said the team is "very optimistic and hopeful" of re-signing impending free-agent linebacker De'Vondre Campbell. The 28-year-old had a career year in 2021 after signing a one-year deal with Green Bay, so it's no wonder they'd like to bring him back. Campbell had a career-high 146 tackles (102 solo), six tackles for loss, six QB hits, two interceptions, five passes defensed, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and two sacks in 16 regular season games for the Packers last year to earn first-team All-Pro honors for the first time in his career. He finished as the No. 5 fantasy linebacker in IDP leagues and will be highly coveted entering 2022 drafts in those formats, especially if he's back with the Packers.

The Green Bay Packers signed free-agent linebacker De'Vondre Campbell to an undisclosed deal on Wednesday and released running back Mike Weber in a corresponding move. A six-year veteran from the University of Minnesota, Campbell will help the team's thin inside linebacker position. A fourth-round pick of the Atlanta Falcons back in 2016, he had 99 tackles and started all 16 games last season for the Arizona Cardinals. Campbell spent the first four seasons of his NFL career in Atlanta. In 75 career games (70 starts), the 27-year-old has 462 tackles (303 solo), 13 QB hits, three interceptions, 19 passes defensed, six forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and 7.5 sacks.
