Indianapolis Colts general manager Chris Ballard said that tight end Chris Ballard is off the NFL commissioner's exempt list and is back with the team during offseason workouts. Ogletree was recently cleared of domestic-violence charges following his arrest last December. Ogletree was put on the commissioner's exempt list on Dec. 30. The 25-year-old caught nine of his 21 targets for 147 yards and two touchdowns in 12 games (nine starts) in 2023 in what was essentially his rookie season after he didn't play at all in 2022 after being drafted in the sixth round (192nd overall) in 2022 out of Youngstown State due to a torn ACL he suffered in the preseason. Ogletree will be off the fantasy radar as tight end depth behind Jelani Woods, Kylen Granson and Mo Alie-Cox in 2024.

Ogletree will be hoping to return to practice next week and play in Week 13 against the Tennessee Titans.

Ogletree didn't play in Indy's Week 10 game against the New England Patriots with the injury and apparently is still struggling to get healthy despite having a bye in Week 11. He will be worth monitoring on Thursday and Friday to see whether he can get back on the field. If Ogletree ultimately does not end up playing in Week 12, look for Will Mallory, Kylen Granson, and Mo Alie-Cox to soak up the tight-end snaps.

However, Granson still must contend with Mo Alie-Cox eating into his workload. Keep in mind both receivers Josh Downs (knee) and Alec Pierce (ankle) are questionable.

Ogletree is competing with rookie Will Mallory, Pharaoh Brown, Michael Jacobson, Nick Eubanks and Ricky Seals-Jones at the position as depth behind Jelani Woods, Mo Alie-Cox and Kylen Granson.
