Tyler Warren Falling Down Draft Boards After WR Signing?

Indianapolis Colts tight end Tyler Warren recently saw his draft stock rise with the news of Alec Pierce (ankle) being shut down for the rest of training camp, but he's now falling back down draft boards after the team signed wide receiver Keenan Allen. Even with Pierce sidelined, Warren's volume will likely be impacted by the addition of Allen. The veteran receiver had at least 121 targets in each of the last two seasons with the Bears and Chargers, respectively. Last year, he finished with 81 catches, 777 yards, and four touchdowns, which ranked as the overall WR29. Given how productive he has remained deep into his career, the 34-year-old has a decent chance to command another 100+ targets in this Daniel Jones-led offense. Warren has the talent to maintain a fantasy-relevant role even when both Pierce and Allen are on the field, but the presence of those two receivers might limit his upside and impact his ability to string together a bunch of big performances week after week. At a certain point this offseason, Warren had a late third-round ADP, but he has now fallen to the start of the sixth round in most formats. Still, he is pretty consistently the fourth tight end off the board following Brock Bowers, Trey McBride, and Colston Loveland.

Tyler Warren Poised to Handle Massive Target Share in Year 2

Indianapolis Colts tight end Tyler Warren is expected to take on a much larger target share during his second NFL season. The Colts traded away Michael Pittman Jr. this past offseason and didn't bring in any big names to fill his shoes, so a lot of his vacated targets will go to Warren. The tight end is heading into his second NFL season and will look to build on an impressive rookie campaign in which he caught 76 passes for 817 yards and four touchdowns. The Penn State product was the overall TE4 in PPR leagues last year, and he achieved that mark despite playing several games without quarterback Daniel Jones, who suffered an Achilles injury. Now, Jones is healthy and Pittman is gone, setting the stage for Warren to have a massive Year 2 breakout. In the short term, he could also step into a larger role if wide receiver Alec Pierce (ankle) isn't quite at 100 percent in Week 1.

Tyler Warren Dominates in Joint Practice on Tuesday

Indianapolis Colts tight end Tyler Warren dominated in the team's joint practice on Tuesday against the New England Patriots, according to Joel A. Erickson of the Indianapolis Star. Warren was immediately productive for the Colts in 2025 after they took him 14th overall from Penn State, catching 76 of 112 targets for 817 yards and four touchdowns in 17 games to finish as the TE6 in half-PPR scoring. With quarterback Daniel Jones recovered from an Achilles tear, receiver Michael Pittman Jr. out of town, and receiver Alec Pierce still recovering from offseason ankle surgery, Warren's arrow is pointing firmly up heading into his second year in the NFL as one of the best TE targets in fantasy. The 24-year-old is an obvious candidate to see his role grow in the Colts' offense this year and has been impressive this spring and summer. If you don't pay the high price for the elite tight ends like Trey McBride and Brock Bowers, Warren is a totally acceptable consolation prize in the next tier down.

Tyler Warren Has High Hopes for Colts Offense in 2026

Indianapolis Colts veterans have reported for training camp, and second-year tight end Tyler Warren shared his excitement about the team's offense, telling a group of gathered reporters, "I think everybody's really excited... from an offensive standpoint, coming back with the same coaching staff, same core group of guys. It's always exciting to be able to build off of what you were able to do last year." The Colts had one of the league's most potent offenses before quarterback Daniel Jones went down with a torn Achilles in Week 14, with Warren pacing as the fantasy TE3 to that point as a rookie. With Michael Pittman Jr. no longer part of the team, Warren is expected to see heavy usage in the intermediate area of the field, and with Alec Pierce beginning training camp on the PUP after undergoing ankle surgery in March, the second-year tight end could build a sizable role throughout the summer. Warren is RotoBaller's TE4 and a player who could see enough volume in year two to make him a legitimate threat to finish at the top of the position in 2026.

Tyler Warren Has Overall TE1 Upside

Indianapolis Colts tight end Tyler Warren was treated like a veteran from the jump. He drew 112 targets, catching 76 passes for 817 yards and four touchdowns while playing 899 offensive snaps. Warren also scored once on the ground and set the franchise rookie record for receiving yards by a tight end. There is room for more. Michael Pittman Jr. took 111 targets with him to Pittsburgh, and Daniel Jones is set to open camp as a full participant after recovering from a torn Achilles. Josh Downs and Alec Pierce will remain heavily involved, so the vacated work will not all funnel to Warren. It does not have to. He led Indianapolis in targets last season and already finished among the top five fantasy tight ends despite only four receiving scores. RotoBaller ranks Warren TE4 for 2026. With Jones healthy and one of the league's strongest target profiles at the position, Warren has a real path to finishing as the overall TE1.

Tyler Warren Remains an Elite Dynasty Tight End Entering 2026

The 14th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Indianapolis Colts tight end Tyler Warren recorded 76 catches for 817 yards and four touchdowns on 112 targets across 17 games as a rookie. While the 24-year-old's overall line is impressive, his production faded down the stretch of the year. Warren reached double-digit PPR points just once following the Colts' Week 12 bye, and he finished the year as the TE11 by per-game PPR scoring. However, Warren may be entering 2026 as the number one option in the Indianapolis passing game following the team's offseason trade of veteran wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Warren will also get to rekindle his chemistry with Colts quarterback Daniel Jones (Achilles), whose absence due to a season-ending Achilles injury in Week 14 of 2025 largely coincided with Warren's fading production. Dynasty contenders should view Warren as an elite tight end option entering 2026.

Tyler Warren Working on Explosion Out of Breaks in Year 2

Indianapolis Colts tight end Tyler Warren could have an even bigger role in his second year in the NFL, and he's been working on improving his explosion out of his breaks going into the 2026 season, according to Mike Chappell of FOX 59. Warren continued to flash his skill set during offseason workouts after catching 76 of his 112 targets for 817 yards and four touchdowns in his first 17 games (12 starts) in 2025 after Indy took him with the 14th overall pick out of Penn State. "Certainly expect him to be a big part of the offense again, and he's making a jump on what was a really, really good rookie season," quarterback Daniel Jones said. Warren's 76 catches and 817 yards were both club records for a rookie TE, and his five total TDs (one rushing) were behind only Hall of Famer John Mackey's seven. He led the Colts in targets as well, and receiver Michael Pittman Jr., who was second in targets in 2025, is now in Pittsburgh. Warren finished as the TE6 in half-PPR scoring last year, and with Jones returning to the Colts, RotoBaller has him ranked as a top-five fantasy TE going into his sophomore campaign. He averaged 10.8 yards per catch in 2025 and had 10 plays that went for at least 20 yards. Only receiver Alec Pierce (17) had more such plays for the Colts.

Tyler Warren Poised for Expanded Role in Indianapolis?

Indianapolis Colts tight end Tyler Warren could be the biggest beneficiary of his team's offseason trade of wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. to the Pittsburgh Steelers, per Joel A. Erickson of the Indianapolis Star. The 15th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Warren recorded 76 catches for 817 yards and four touchdowns on 112 targets across 17 games (12 starts) as a rookie. The 24-year-old actually led Indianapolis in targets in 2025, finishing with one more than Pittman Jr. (111). Still, the departure of Pittman Jr. leaves Warren as the clear number one option in the Colts passing game, with wide receivers Alec Pierce and Josh Downs set for supporting roles. Warren's production tailed off down the stretch last season after Colts quarterback Daniel Jones (Achilles) suffered a season-ending torn Achilles. With Jones expected to be ready for the start of 2026, Warren could be ready to emerge as one of the truly elite tight ends in fantasy football in his second NFL campaign.

Does Tyler Warren Have Dynasty TE1 Upside?

The 14th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Indianapolis Colts tight end Tyler Warren hit the ground running and immediately emerged as a key piece of his team's offense as a rookie. Across 17 games, the 24-year-old recorded 76 catches for 817 yards and four touchdowns on 112 targets and added a touchdown as a rusher for good measure. Warren's production faded a bit down the stretch of the season, but Colts quarterback Daniel Jones (Achilles) missed the team's final four games of the year after tearing his Achilles in Week 14. Jones should be ready for 2026, and Warren could be the team's clear number one target in the passing game following Indy's offseason trade of wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Between his prospect pedigree, rookie season production, and clear opportunity with the Colts, Warren profiles as an elite dynasty tight end with number one overall tight end upside.

Tyler Warren a Clear Top-Five Dynasty Tight End

Indianapolis Colts second-year tight end Tyler Warren was very impressive in his first year in the NFL and finished as the TE6 in half-PPR scoring with 76 catches on his 112 targets for 817 yards and four touchdowns in 17 games played. The 23-year-old out of Penn State was the 14th overall pick in last year's draft, and he did not disappoint as the Colts finally appear to have found a long-term, high-end pass-catching option at the position. Most of Warren's production in 2025 came in the first half of the season, as he averaged 61.7 receiving yards in his first 10 NFL games before falling to 28.6 yards in his last seven games. It didn't help that starting quarterback Daniel Jones (Achilles) suffered a season-ending injury late in the year. With Jones expected to return in 2026 after signing a two-year extension, it cements Warren in as a top-five dynasty TE, especially since the Colts traded away receiver Michael Pittman Jr. to the Pittsburgh Steelers this offseason.
