Alec Pierce News
Indianapolis Colts rookie wide receiver Alec Pierce has three or more catches in three of his last five games. However, he only had a combined 54 yards in two of those games. The Colts will be facing the New York Giants in Week 17. The Giants rank 15th against opposing wide receivers, surrendering an average of 32.65 fantasy points per game. But with Nick Foles at quarterback, Pierce has a lower chance of having a solid game. Foles completed just 58.6 percent of his passes in their defeat against the Los Angeles Chargers. A slight increase in that statistic is possible against the Giants, but Pierce has to compete for receptions with Michael Pittman Jr. and Parris Campbell. That said, Pierce remains a non-factor in fantasy football.
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce caught three passes for 26 yards in Monday night's 20-3 loss to the Chargers. The 22-year-old has struggled because of the poor quarterback play of Matt Ryan and Nick Foles. As a big-play receiver, averaging 15.3 yards per reception on the season, it's difficult for him to excel without a signal-caller that can push the ball downfield. He's managed only one productive game in the past five weeks, meaning he's best left on your bench against the Giants in Week 17.
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce isn't a recommended option at either wide receiver or the flex. Last week, he failed to catch any of his four targets while the team blew a 33-point lead. Pierce is a rookie pass-catcher on a team that struggles to pass the ball, and he's playing against a team that gives up the ninth least amount of fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. While trying to win a fantasy playoff game, there should be better options on the waiver wire than Pierce.

Alec Pierce was a surprising second-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft but did his best to earn targets in a subpar quarterback situation. Pierce finished his first season with 78 targets, 41 receptions, 593 yards, and two receiving touchdowns. Pierce functioned as a deep threat and led the Colts in receiving average depth of target (11.7) and 40+ yard receptions (three) on the season despite playing with weak-armed quarterbacks. Pierce should grow in his second season, but there are plenty of...
