John FitzPatrick Re-Signs With Green Bay
Free agent tight end John FitzPatrick has re-signed with the Green Bay Packers on an undisclosed contract, according to the team. The former Georgia Bulldog will serve his second stint with the squad after kicking off his career with the Atlanta Falcons for two seasons. FitzPatrick has appeared in 18 games over the prior two seasons but has only caught two passes for 14 yards on two targets. He has yet to garner a start and logged just 91 snaps across both campaigns on offense. However, he also played a good chunk of special teams snaps. The 25-year-old is unlikely to make an impact on the field this year, with fellow tight ends Luke Musgrave and Tucker Kraft dominating playing time. FitzPatrick will provide Green Bay with more depth in 2025.

Julian Okwara Signs With Cleveland
The Cleveland Browns have signed an undisclosed contract with free-agent linebacker Julian Okwara. Okwara was selected by the Detroit Lions in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft, and he spent his first four seasons with the organization. In 2024, the 27-year-old appeared in 13 games for the Arizona Cardinals (one start) as an outside linebacker, with some time spent on special teams as well. Over five seasons, the Notre Dame product has racked up 72 tackles (45 solo) with 15 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, and one interception. He's currently listed second (unofficially) on the team's depth chart behind teammate Mohamoud Diabate and should give Cleveland valuable snaps as a depth piece in 2025.

Packers Remain Committed To Trading Jaire Alexander, Have Received Interest
The Green Bay Packers have received trade interest for veteran cornerback Jaire Alexander, but no deal is imminent with just over a week to go before the 2025 NFL Draft. The team is committed to finding a deal for Alexander rather than cutting him, but attempts to shop the Pro Bowler have been unsuccessful thus far. A deal could take place following the draft if a team does not land one of the cornerbacks on their board. Alexander, a former first-round pick out of Louisville in the 2018 NFL Draft, has tallied 287 tackles (240 solo), 1.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, 12 interceptions, and 70 pass deflections in 78 games. He is a two-time All-Pro selection but injuries have caused him to miss 20 regular-season games over the last two years, and his best football is likely behind him.

Ravens Non-Committal On Mark Andrews' Status With Team
Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews is one of the best players in franchise history, collecting 436 receptions for 5,530 yards and 51 touchdowns in 104 games across seven NFL seasons. However, the three-time Pro Bowler's status with the team for 2025 has been a topic of discussion this offseason, and general manager Eric DeCosta declined to definitively say he would be on the team next season. "I never know what's going to happen, but I can tell you this, Mark Andrews is a warrior," DeCosta said. He's a great player and we're in the business of keeping as many great players as we can." Andrews is entering his age-29 season and posted his lowest yardage total last year (minimum 11 games) since his 2018 rookie campaign. Whether he is potentially traded or released, uncertainty remains for the veteran, who is usually a TE1 in fantasy football.

Tyron Smith Calling It A Career
Long-time Dallas Cowboys left tackle Tyron Smith is retiring from the NFL after 14 seasons, as first reported by NFL Network's Ian Rapaport. Smith will sign a one-day contract to retire as a Cowboy after spending last season with the New York Jets. Overall, the 34-year-old started 171 games and was named to eight Pro Bowl rosters. He earned five All-Pro selections. Smith is a part of the NFL's 2010s All-Decade Team and is likely headed for the Pro Football Hall of Fame at some point in the future. A former first-round pick out of USC in 2011, Smith is one of the greatest offensive tackles of his generation.

Dolphins Not Pursuing A Trade Of Tyreek Hill
Miami Dolphins general manager Chris Grier said that the team isn't pursuing a trade of All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill, and no team has called them attempting to trade for Hill. Grier joked that if a team called to offer the Dolphins two first-round picks for Hill, they'd maybe consider it. Hill, who had a disappointing 2024 campaign by his standards while battling through a left-wrist injury that required surgery, insinuated he'd be heading out of town after the season finale last year. However, he later went back on his statements and said he made them out of frustration after missing the playoffs. The 31-year-old speedster could easily bounce back in 2025 with better health, unfortunately his fantasy value is also tied to oft-injured quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. The eight-time Pro Bowler finished shy of 1,000 receiving yards last year for the first time since 2019, when he played in just 12 games in KC.

Isaiah Simmons Visits With Packers
New York Giants free-agent linebacker Isaiah Simmons visited with the Green Bay Packers on Monday, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Simmons is an intriguing potential addition for the Packers after he played for the Giants the last two seasons. The 26-year-old was originally the eighth overall pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2020 out of Clemson. Simmons came into the NFL as a hybrid linebacker/cornerback and has bounced around at corner and linebacker in his time with Arizona and New York. He wasn't as productive in his two years in the Big Apple, contributing 71 combined tackles (45 solo), one sack, one interception returned for a touchdown, five pass breakups, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 34 games (five starts). Simmons could have a bigger role on defense when he latches on with a new team, but IDP fantasy managers will likely be avoiding him.

Contract Talks With Courtland Sutton "Moving In The Right Direction"
Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton said over the weekend that he thinks his representation and the team are "moving in the right direction" regarding a long-term contract extension this offseason. "I'm open and optimistic about the fact that I'll be able to be here for the rest of my career," Sutton said. Last year, both sides were in a stalemate in terms of an extension, and Sutton skipped all of the team's voluntary offseason program as a result. Eventually, Denver added incentives to the 29-year-old's contract to appease him. It paid off, as he caught 81 passes for 1,081 yards and eight touchdowns as rookie quarterback Bo Nix's go-to target. Sutton is entering the final year of a four-year, $60.1 million extension he signed in November of 2021. He's excited about where he and Nix can go from here after making the postseason last year. After his big season, Sutton will be drafted as at least a low-end WR1.

Dak Prescott To Be Limited During Voluntary Workouts
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott (hamstring), who is recovering from a torn right hamstring suffered last year, said that he would be in attendance for the team's voluntary workouts this week but will be limited. Prescott said last Friday that his surgically repaired hamstring has been improving and that he thought he could play in games right now if he had to. The 31-year-old played in just eight games in 2024 and had surgery on his hamstring in November. The fact that he's even participating in voluntary workouts is a good sign. Barring a setback this summer, Prescott should be ready to rock as a low-end QB1 option for fantasy managers for Week 1 this fall. The three-time Pro Bowler had a career year in 2023 but had 1,978 passing yards, 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions at the time of his injury last year.

Dolphins, Jalen Ramsey Mutually Agree To Explore Trade Options
The Miami Dolphins and seven-time Pro Bowl cornerback Jalen Ramsey are mutually set to explore trade options, and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport writes that it wouldn't be a surprise if Ramsey played elsewhere in 2025. It appears that the Dolphins and Ramsey, who is due $25.1 million fully guaranteed this year, are headed for a divorce. Although the 30-year-old veteran signed a three-year contract extension with the team last September, he doesn't have any guaranteed money beyond the 2025 campaign. Ramsey continues to be one of the better cornerbacks in the NFL, so there should be no shortage of interest around the league. The former fifth overall pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2016 out of Florida State had 60 tackles (39 solo), a sack, six tackles for loss, two interceptions and 11 pass breakups in 17 starts for Miami in 2024.

Micah Parsons In Dallas For Voluntary Workouts
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons was present at the start of the team's offseason workout program. This is encouraging news, as Parsons and Dallas have yet to agree to terms on a new contract. The superstar pass rusher has stated that he wants to remain a Cowboy, and he's showing it with his actions by appearing for the team's voluntary offseason training. He's been electric since Dallas selected him twelfth overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, authoring four straight double-digit sack campaigns. Parsons may have been on his way to a career-high in sacks last season, but he reached just 12 while missing four games with a high ankle sprain. A deal will likely get done eventually -- potentially following the draft -- but Dallas may again be driving up the price on one of their home-grown stars.

Bears Extend Kyler Gordon
The Chicago Bears and defensive back Kyler Gordon have agreed on a three-year, $40 million extension with $31.25 million guaranteed. He'll now be with the team through the 2028 season. The deal makes the 25-year-old the highest-paid slot cornerback in the NFL ($13.33 million annual average value). Gordon has been solid for the Bears since they took him No. 39 overall in the 2022 NFL Draft, racking up at least 61 tackles in each of his first three seasons. In 2024, he notched 75 takedowns (48 solo), four tackles for loss, three recovered fumbles, one forced fumble, and a half sack. The Washington product will continue to lock down the nickel spot for Chicago in 2025 and figures to get back in the interception column after picking off five passes in his first two campaigns.

Evan Engram Touts Bo Nix As A "True Weapon"
Denver Broncos tight end Evan Engram lauded his new quarterback, Bo Nix, last week in an interview with DNVR's Bennie Fowler. "He has everything that it takes to be great in this league," said Engram. The 30-year-old went on to praise Nix's dual-threat ability and noted that the team should continue to put talent around such a weapon. The Georgia native was fantastic in 2023 with the Jacksonville Jaguars, churning out an impressive 114 receptions. However, after being limited to nine games during an injury-plagued 2024, the team released him. Engram has an excellent chance to rebound with the Broncos in 2025 -- particularly as the joker in a Sean Payton offense bereft of weapons outside wideout Courtland Sutton. With Denver set to spend an early pick on running back in the draft later this month, the veteran tight end should provide solid TE1 numbers this season, barring health.

Calais Campbell Still Feeling "Dominant" At Age 38
Arizona Cardinals defensive lineman Calais Campbell told reporters last week that despite entering his 18th season in the league, he still feels dominant and can "change ball games." "I'm one of those guys that love this game so much...But I feel like I'm still good at it, still dominant, and I feel I could really help this team." The journeyman hasn't hit a double-digit sack total since 2018, but he's still been a disruptive player, logging 11.5 sacks and 22 tackles for loss over the prior two seasons with 29 quarterback hits. His age hasn't affected his game, but the 38-year-old did note that shouldering a full snap load would degrade his play. The Cardinals understand this and project to use him as a rotational role player in 2025. Even in that regard, Campbell still has the propensity to be a fine asset for Arizona. Their defensive front is much improved from a season ago.

Aidan Hutchinson Nearing End Of Rehab
Detroit Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson (leg) indicated last week that he's nearly done rehabbing from his season-ending injury last October. "I'm there. I'd say I'm good," Hutchinson told Marty Smith on Thursday at the Masters. "I've got my last evaluation tests when I get back, I leave today...and once I knock them out of the park, I'll be on my way and done with rehab." The superstar pass-rusher was a force in 2024, notching 7.5 sacks and 19 tackles in five games -- including a dominant 4.5 sack effort against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2. Hutchinson recently released a workout video of him sprinting and zig-zagging down the field, and he looks strong. The Michigan product is well on his way to being ready for training camp, and though he may not be 100% himself this season after a severe injury, his expedited return to the field has been remarkable.

Kenny Pickett Intends To Start For Browns
On Saturday, Cleveland Browns quarterback Kenny Pickett told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review that the plan is for him to be the team's starting quarterback in 2025. "I'm not going there to hang out. I want to go play. I'm excited, been working hard for it, taking it a day at a time." Pickett looked to be on his way to the starting gig with the news that teammate Deshaun Watson (Achilles) could miss all of next season after rupturing his Achilles tendon again. Now, he'll incur some competition courtesy of veteran Joe Flacco. The 26-year-old struggled during his two-year stint as a Steeler but gained valuable experience with the Philadelphia Eagles during their Super Bowl run in 2024. Pickett will be awarded the starting job if he can beat out the aging veteran. Still, it isn't a foregone conclusion that the Browns won't continue to add arms with uncertainty surrounding Watson's status. The Cleveland QB situation will be one to monitor.

All Signs Point To Titans Taking Cam Ward At No. 1 Overall
The Athletic's Dianna Russini reports that all signs appear to be pointing to the Tennessee Titans taking University of Miami quarterback Cam Ward with the first overall pick in this year's NFL draft. Russini goes on to say that the only way the Titans part with the No. 1 pick is through a history trade package. The Titans canceled their private workout with Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders last week, which is further proof that they have their sights set on taking Ward as the first overall pick in a few weeks. Former second-rounder Will Levis flopped in his shot as the team's starting signal-caller in 2024 and led the league with 18 turnovers, leading to his benching. The 22-year-old will expected to come in immediately and start in Week 1 in 2025 after throwing for 4,313 yards, 39 touchdowns and seven interceptions last year.

Falcons Re-Sign Kevin King
The Atlanta Falcons re-signed cornerback Kevin King to an undisclosed deal on Friday, the team announced. King will return for a second season in Atlanta after recording only 10 tackles (six solo), two pass breakups and a fumble recovery in 15 games played (one start) last year. It was the 29-year-old defensive back's first action in the NFL since 2021 after he didn't play at all in 2022 for personal reasons and missed the entire 2023 campaign due to a torn Achilles. King was used more on special teams in Atlanta and will probably do something similar in 2025. He was originally a second-round pick (33rd overall) in the 2017 NFL draft by the Green Bay Packers out of the University of Washington. In his five seasons with the Packers, King played in 51 of a possible 81 regular-season games and had 197 total tackles, seven interceptions, a sack, 30 pass breakups, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

Kader Kohou Signs Tender To Return To Dolphins
As expected, Miami Dolphins cornerback Kader Kohou signed his $3.3 million tender offer on Saturday to return to the team for the 2025 season, according to the Miami Herald's Barry Jackson. The longer the Dolphins go this offseason without adding another cornerback, the better chance Kohou has of starting in the team's base defense in 2025 after a strong season in 2024. The 26-year-old defensive back finished last year, his third in the NFL, with 45 tackles (33 solo), a career-best two interceptions, eight pass breakups, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery in 15 games played (nine starts). Despite playing a career-low 671 defensive snaps in 2024, Kohou should be competing for a starting role in training camp this summer, depending on what the team does at the position in the upcoming NFL draft at the end of April.

Dak Prescott Doing Well In Recovery From Hamstring Injury
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott (hamstring) said he is progressing in his recovery from a season-ending torn right hamstring last year that required surgery. "If I had to play a game today, I definitely could do that," Prescott said. "It's about moving forward healthy to make sure I can play 17 times, 20 [games] -- whatever we get to when the time's right." Prescott ended up playing in only eight games in 2024 after signing a four-year, $240 million contract extension last September that made him the highest-paid QB in NFL history in terms of annual average value. Before the injury, the 31-year-old had only 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions, making him a big disappointment in fantasy leagues as a QB1. However, the three-time Pro Bowler will be looking to bounce back in 2025 and is planning to take part in organized team activities when they start next month.
