Chris Thompson, Paul Richardson, Vernon Davis Practicing

Washington Redskins running back Chris Thompson (toe), wide receiver Paul Richardson (hamstring) and tight end Vernon Davis (concussion) were all on the practice field on Wednesday. With Adrian Peterson (toe) in question for Week 12 against the Lions, Thompson could jump back into his third-down role to spell Derrius Guice. It's a good matchup, but Thompson would still be a shaky RB3/flex in PPR leagues after his long layoff due to turf toe. It's really hard to trust any pass-catcher in this offense outside of rookie Terry McLaurin with Dwayne Haskins under center. Davis has been sidelined since Sept. 29, and Jeremy Sprinkle has been quiet in his absence.

Paul Richardson, Vernon Davis Out Against Jets

Washington Redskins wide receiver Paul Richardson (hamstring) and tight end Vernon Davis (concussion) have been ruled out for Week 11 against the Jets. Davis has no timetable for a return. Jeremy Sprinkle hasn't taken advantage of his starting role with both Davis and Jordan Reed (concussion) out for most of the year, and that probably won't change anytime soon with rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins at the helm. Richardson should've already been on waiver wires before his injury. Rookie Terry McLaurin is the only receiver you can trust in D.C., and even then he's just a boom/bust WR4 in this sad offense. Trey Quinn and rookies Steven Sims Jr. and Kelvin Harmon should see more run in three-receiver sets with Richardson out.

Chris Thompson, Vernon Davis Remain Sidelined

Washington Redskins running back Chris Thompson (toe) is still "out with injury," according to interim head coach Bill Callahan. Tight end Vernon Davis (concussion) remains in the league's concussion protocol coming out of the bye week. Thompson has been out since Week 6 and has no timetable for a return from his turf toe injury. With Derrius Guice now back, Thompson's value has dried up in PPR leagues in this bad offense. Davis has been out since Sept. 29 and also has no timetable for return. He needs to be on the waiver wire in all leagues. Jeremy Sprinkle hasn't been able to take advantage of his opportunity in Davis' absence, and that will likely continue with rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins under center the rest of the way.

Case Keenum, Chris Thompson, Vernon Davis Ruled Out

Washington Redskins quarterback Case Keenum (concussion), running back Chris Thompson (toe) and tight end Vernon Davis (concussion) have all been ruled out for Week 9 against the Bills. Rookie Dwayne Haskins will make his first career start under center, but he's a last-gasp QB2 for those desperate owners against a strong Bills Defense on the road. Thompson and Davis remain week-to-week with their injuries. Adrian Peterson should continue to be the bell-cow in this backfield, but he has very little upside in this poor offense in a terrible matchup. Jeremy Sprinkle hasn't done much with Davis out in recent weeks, and that shouldn't change this Sunday.

Chris Thompson, Vernon Davis Ruled Out For Thursday

Washington Redskins running back Chris Thompson (toe) and tight end Vernon Davis (concussion) have both been ruled out for Thursday night's game against the Vikings. Davis was limited in practice all week, but Thompson didn't practice at all and isn't a lock to return in Week 9. Davis appears to be making progress, but fantasy owners can't rely on him as anything more than a touchdown-dependent TE2 when he's on the field in one of the worst offenses in football. Jeremy Sprinkle will continue to be the team's top pass-catching tight end with Davis out, but he's a desperation option at the tight end position. Jordan Reed (concussion) has yet to play this year and his career is in jeopardy.

Vernon Davis Won't Play Against Old Team

Washington Redskins tight end Vernon Davis (concussion) was limited in practice all week but has been ruled out for Week 7 against the 49ers. Davis is recovering from his head injury but just couldn't get cleared in time. With Jordan Reed (concussion) on Injured Reserve, Jeremy Sprinkle will continue to start for the 'Skins. He's an unattractive TE2, though, having caught just four passes for 41 yards in the last two weeks with Davis banged up. You can't really trust any pass-catcher outside of rookie Terry McLaurin in this dysfunctional offense.

Vernon Davis Limited Wednesday At Practice

Washington Redskins tight end Vernon Davis (concussion) was limited at practice on Wednesday. Davis has a chance to return this weekend, but he must officially pass through the league's concussion protocol later this week. If the veteran suits up, he'll be a low-end, low-upside TE2 in a tough matchup with the 49ers. Jeremy Sprinkle hasn't taken advantage of Davis' absence the last two games and can be avoided for fantasy purposes. Jordan Reed (concussion) is on Injured Reserve and is unlikely to play this year. His career is in serious jeopardy.

Vernon Davis, Jordan Reed Out Again

Washington Redskins tight ends Vernon Davis (concussion) and Jordan Reed (concussion) have both been ruled out for Week 6 against the Dolphins. Davis was limited all week but couldn't get final clearance. Reed missed practice all week and is no closer to returning. He's been out all season. Jeremy Sprinkle should once again be the primary pass-catching tight end. He has a great matchup, but Sprinkle didn't do much with both Davis and Reed out last week. Only start Sprinkle if you're desperate at the tight end position because of bye weeks and injuries.

Vernon Davis Practicing Thursday

Washington Redskins tight end Vernon Davis (concussion) is practicing again on Thursday as he tries to get cleared from the league's concussion protocol. Davis is moving in the right direction but will still likely be questionable to play in Week 6 against the Dolphins. The veteran has caught only 10 passes for 123 yards and a touchdown in four games this year. Even if he's cleared and active on Sunday, he'd be a low-end TE2 against Miami. Jeremy Sprinkle filled in last week with Davis inactive and predictably did nothing with Colt McCoy under center. Jordan Reed (concussion) remains without a timetable to return.

Vernon Davis, Jordan Reed Ruled Out

Washington Redskins tight ends Vernon Davis (concussion) and Jordan Reed (concussion) have been ruled out for Week 5 against the Patriots. It just keeps getting worse for the Redskins. Reed hasn't played yet this year, although the team is still holding out hope that he'll play this year. Fantasy owners shouldn't be doing the same. Jeremy Sprinkle will be the primary pass-catching tight end, but he's only a TE2 streaming option for the truly desperate with Colt McCoy now the starting quarterback in D.C. Pray for the Redskins against the Patriots this Sunday.
