Alex Formenton Scores Two Goals In Senators Victory

Left wing Alex Formenton scored two goals in the Ottawa Senators win over the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday night. The goals ended Formenton's 11-game point drought. He was a force all night long with his blazing speed, notching seven shots on goal. He is now at 17 goals and 30 points in his first full NHL season. Formenton is stapled into the Senators top nine forwards next year and will get a shot at playing in the top six.

Alex Formenton Piles Up Shots Saturday

Ottawa Senators left-winger Alex Formenton had been given more and more of an offensive role. Formenton, for the most part, has delivered. He fired six shots on goal Saturday versus the Toronto Maple Leafs in 19:09 of action. The forward had a few high-danger chances and nearly beat Jack Campbell twice. Formenton had five points in his last five games coming into Saturday. He has six goals and ten points in 26 games this season but better offensive times are likely for the 22-year old as 2022 goes on.

Alex Formenton Tallies Two Points In Saturday's Loss

Ottawa Senators left wing Alex Formenton produced a two-point night in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Flyers, scoring a short-handed goal and notching an assist on a Tim Stutzle marker. He was plus-one for the game and recorded two shots and one hit in 14:40 of ice time. Formenton is clearly playing his best hockey of the season right now, having logged four multi-point efforts in his past eight games. With the improved form, he's boosted his points tally up to 10. Having been paired with the super talented Stutzle and Connor Brown, who's among the team leaders in assists, Formenton finds himself in a good spot to continue piling up the points.
