Alexander Kerfoot Feels Like He's A Great Fit In Arizona

Arizona Coyotes forward Alexander Kerfoot feels like he will fit in very well with his new teammates after signing a two-year, $7 million contract with the club as a free agent. "I just came away really impressed with where they're headed, what their mindset is at right now, and I think with what they're doing and where they envision the team going, it was a group that I wanted to be a part of," Kerfoot told NHL.com. "Having played against them the last few years, they're a tough team to play against, they're competitive, they're fast, and I just felt like I could fit in with where I'm at. I was looking for a place where I thought that the fit was really good, and of the teams that I was talking to, I felt most comfortable with them." Kerfoot, who posted 10 goals and 32 points in 82 games with Toronto last season, is currently projected to start the 2023-24 campaign on Arizona's third line. The 29-year-old boasts 219 points (74 goals, 145) in total across 442 career games.

Alexander Kerfoot Joins Top Line For Game 4

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Alexander Kerfoot will start Sunday's Game 4 against Tampa Bay on the top line. He finished Game 3 skating alongside Auston Matthews and Mitchell Marner and will now have a chance to start the game with them and spend even more time on the line. The move comes after Toronto head coach Sheldon Keefe wasn't satisfied with his first line's work in Game 3. Kerfoot hasn't done a lot in the playoffs so far, notching a single point via a goal and recording seven shots. Michael Bunting will drop from the first line all the way down to the fourth.

Alexander Kerfoot Set For Second-Line Duty Against Dallas

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Alexander Kerfoot will have an opportunity to log top-six minutes in Tuesday's matchup against Dallas. He centered the second line at the morning skate, with John Tavares moving up to the first line to fill in for the suspended Auston Matthews. Kerfoot has had a really solid season with 43 points in 59 games and now gets a further chance to boost his numbers. The 27-year-old will skate with William Nylander and Nicholas Robertson, who will be playing against his brother Jason.

Alexander Kerfoot Two-Point Night Keys Toronto Win

Alexander Kerfoot just needed one shot to make an impact. He only had one opportunity and the center made the most of it. His goal helped Toronto to a 3-1 home win over the Ottawa Senators on Saturday night. Kerfoot had struggled a bit in the early going but was allowed to rest a bit to clear his head. That worked as he also added an assist versus the rival Senators. He played almost 15 minutes on Saturday night and looked much more effective in all phases.

Alexander Kerfoot Notches Leafs Game-Winner

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Alexander Kerfoot potted the decisive goal in Wednesday's 2-1 victory over Ottawa, reaching three goals and eight points for the year. Auston Matthews got the scoring started with his 14th marker of the season, while Jake Muzzin collected an assist on both plays. Kerfoot looks like a pretty unattractive fantasy piece, as he doesn't get many minutes on a nightly basis, but this Leafs team is full of goals and everybody is getting in on the act, which makes the Vancouver-born forward an under-the-radar DFS pick and a decent addition for teams in deep leagues. He now has four points in his past five games ahead of Thursday's rematch with the struggling Senators.
