Lightning Acquires Anthony Duclair

Winger Anthony Duclair has been traded by the San Jose Sharks to the Tampa Bay Lightning. The former Panthers player returns to Florida in a deal that saw the Lightning giving up a 2024 third-round draft pick and defensive prospect Jack Thompson, who was a third-round pick in the 2020 draft. Tampa Bay also received a 2025 seventh-round pick as part of the trade. Duclair will add speed and good scoring ability to the Lightning lineup. He was one of the top players on a struggling Sharks team, registering 16 goals and 11 assists in 58 appearances. The 28-year-old boasts 138 goals and 288 points in 546 games for his career.

Alexander Barabanov Sitting Out, Anthony Duclair A Game-Time Decision For Trade-Related Reasons

San Jose Sharks winger Alexander Barabanov will be held out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the New York Islanders. Winger Anthony Duclair could also be held out of the lineup, but that hasn't been confirmed yet. Both players are trade chips for the tanking Sharks, and the team doesn't want to risk them getting hurt on the eve of the trade deadline. Both wingers can provide some offense in a middle-six role, but neither have much fantasy value.

Anthony Duclair Totals Four Points In Losing Effort

San Jose Sharks winger Anthony Duclair finished Tuesday's 13-goal thriller against Dallas with four points, registering two goals and two assists in a 7-6 overtime loss. Both of his goals came in power-play situations, while Duclair collected his assists during even-strength play. It's his second career four-point outing. Duclair has seen heavy usage lately, and it's helped him boost his numbers for the campaign. Eight of Duclair's 27 points have come in his past four appearances. He's had 16 goals and 11 assists across 56 games for the season, joining Fabian Zetterlund at the top of San Jose's goals list.

Anthony Duclair, Sharks Not Discussing Contract Extension

The San Jose Sharks and forward Anthony Duclair are not discussing any contract extension, the player told Curtis Pashelka on Monday. Duclair will almost certainly be moved prior to the March 8 NHL trade deadline if a contract extension is indeed not in the cards for the veteran. Duclair has recorded 11 goals and 19 points across 51 games on the season, along with 84 shots and a minus-12 rating. The 28-year-old tallied 31 goals as recently as the 2021-22 season and would be a solid offensive depth addition for a contending team down the stretch. The Sharks currently sit 31st in the NHL with a 15-36-5 record and will be full-blown sellers at the deadline.

Anthony Duclair Will Be Benched On Sunday

San Jose Sharks winger Anthony Duclair will sit out Sunday's action against Colorado. His absence isn't injury-related, and Duclair is reportedly getting benched for costing his team a goal in the previous game. The Sharks lost 1-0 to Arizona on Friday after a late game-tying tally was chalked off due to Duclair being in an offside position. Sitting Duclair is a bold move by San Jose, as the 28-year-old has been one of the team's better players this season, contributing six goals and five assists in 27 appearances. Before going scoreless on Friday, Duclair had averaged a point per game over a six-game stretch. Jacob MacDonald will come into the lineup on Sunday as the Sharks go with an extra defenseman.

Anthony Duclair Hurt In Sunday's Loss

San Jose Sharks winger Anthony Duclair didn't make it until the end of the game on Sunday against Vegas. He left a 5-4 shootout loss early in the second period with an upper-body injury. The severity of the injury isn't currently known. Duclair recently enjoyed a stretch of five points in three games, and he has been one of the better performers on a bad team, logging 10 points (six goals, four assists) in total across 25 outings. The Sharks will need to tweak their top six if Duclair can't play on Tuesday versus the Jets.

Anthony Duclair Scores Two Goals In Victory

San Jose Sharks left wing Anthony Duclair scored two goals in Friday's 6-3 victory against the Devils. The 28-year-old recorded his first multi-goal game of the season as he scored in the second and third period of the contest, while he ended an eight-game goalless drought with the quality performance. Duclair has totaled five goals and two assists through 21 games, resulting in limited fantasy value on the league's lowest scoring team.

Anthony Duclair Out Again Sunday

San Jose Sharks left wing Anthony Duclair (illness) will remain absent on Sunday against Anaheim. An illness pushed him out of the lineup Friday versus Vegas, and Duclair hasn't yet recovered from the bug. The 28-year-old has posted three goals and two assists in 13 games this season for the struggling Sharks, who have scored just 17 goals all season while going 2-11-1. Duclair will get his next opportunity on Tuesday when San Jose faces his former team, the Florida Panthers.

Anthony Duclair Promoted To First Line

San Jose Sharks winger Anthony Duclair will move to the first line for Saturday's matchup against the Avalanche. The Sharks lost Mikael Granlund (lower body) from their top six in Thursday's battle with the Golden Knights and were already without Logan Couture (lower body), so head coach David Quinn has decided to shake things up. Duclair made his Sharks debut Thursday on the third line, logging 14:30 of ice time and finishing with three hits and one block. He had no shots on goal and completed the contest with a minus-one rating. Joining Filip Zadina and Tomas Hertl definitely puts him in a better position to make an impact.

Panthers Trade Anthony Duclair To San Jose

The San Jose Sharks have acquired winger Anthony Duclair from the Florida Panthers in exchange for forward Steven Lorentz and a 2025 fifth-round draft pick. Duclair switches teams after spending three seasons with the Panthers and ahead of a contract year. An Achilles injury limited the 27-year-old to only 20 games in 2022-23, in which he registered two goals and nine points. Duclair added 11 points in 20 playoff appearances. He's a proven scorer who posted a career-high 58 points only a couple of seasons back and should be a good asset for the Sharks. Lorentz has been a bottom-six forward throughout his career and doesn't really have any fantasy value. He suited up for 80 games for San Jose last season and notched only 19 points.

Anthony Duclair Will Be In The Panthers Lineup For Game 5

Florida Panthers forward Anthony Duclair (undisclosed) left Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final against Vegas early on Saturday. Duclair exited the contest due to an undisclosed injury after accumulating 13:31 minutes of total ice time. However, he is expected to be in the Panthers' lineup for Game 5 on Tuesday. The 27-year-old has four goals, seven assists, 37 shots on goal, and he carries a minus-5 rating across 19 games in the playoffs. He's registered one goal and one assist in the series.

Anthony Duclair Scores Fourth Playoff Goal

Florida Panthers right wing Anthony Duclair scored the team's second goal in a 5-2 loss in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals against Vegas. Eric Staal opened the scoring in a short-handed situation and Duclair tied the game at two late in the second period, but the Panthers failed to match Vegas' offense in the third frame. Duclair has struggled to find the net throughout the playoffs, scoring only four times, but he has now lit the lamp in back-to-back games. The 27-year-old has also registered six assists, becoming the sixth Panther with double-digit points this postseason.

Anthony Duclair Has Two Assists In Conference Finals Opener

Florida Panthers right wing Anthony Duclair posted two assists as the team started the Eastern Conference Finals with a 3-2 quadruple-overtime win against the Hurricanes. Both of Duclair's helpers were primary assists as Aleksander Barkov and Carter Verhaeghe scored in the second period to put Florida 2-1 up. The 27-year-old was one of the most active Florida skaters throughout the contest but couldn't get a goal himself despite firing off eight shots on goal. He registered one block and had two penalty minutes with a plus-two rating but went 35:51 of action without a single hit. Duclair now has eight points in this year's postseason play, going scoreless just once in his last six outings.

Anthony Duclair Back For Panthers Wednesday

Florida Panthers winger Anthony Duclair (undisclosed) will return to the lineup for Wednesday's Game 5 against the Bruins. He went through a full practice Tuesday after being unavailable for Sunday's Game 4 with an undisclosed injury. An Achilles injury has left a serious mark on Duclair's season. He only made his season debut in late February and hasn't looked at his best. The 27-year-old collected only nine points in 20 regular-season outings, and he went scoreless in three games with a miserable minus-six rating in the first three playoff games against Boston. He'll clearly need to pick it up Wednesday if Florida wants to extend the series.

Anthony Duclair Available Again Thursday

Florida Panthers right wing Anthony Duclair (illness) will return to the lineup Thursday against Toronto. He was a late scratch for Tuesday's contest versus Philadelphia with a non-COVID illness. Duclair made his season debut very late on and will be skating in only his 10th game of the campaign. He has so far posted one goal and three assists. The skillful winger will make his comeback on the third line, linking up with Eric Staal and Ryan Lomberg.

Anthony Duclair Won't Play Friday

Florida Panthers right wing Anthony Duclair is battling an illness and won't play Friday against Chicago. Panthers head coach Paul Maurice expects to see him back Saturday versus the Jets. Duclair has only just made his season debut, skating in five games and recording three points with 16 shots on goal. He has accompanied Aleksander Barkov and Eetu Luostarinen on the first line, and Sam Reinhart is set to take Duclair's spot on Friday.

Anthony Duclair Makes His Season Debut Friday

Florida Panthers winger Anthony Duclair (Achilles) will make his season debut versus Buffalo Friday. He's back in game shape again after undergoing offseason Achilles tendon surgery. There's no easing him back into action, as Duclair is slated to head straight on the first line, to skate with Anton Lundell and Sam Reinhart. He will also be on the first power-play unit. The 27-year-old had a career year with 58 points in 74 last season and his addition is a nice boost for Florida's offense ahead of the final few weeks of the campaign. There are a couple of top-six forwards missing from the team right now, so Duclair's return couldn't have come at a better time.

Anthony Duclair Back In Panthers Lineup For Game 1

Florida Panthers winger Anthony Duclair will be back in the lineup Tuesday against the Lightning after sitting out Game 6 versus Washington as a healthy scratch. The 26-year-old had a wonderful regular-season campaign, but he made a quiet start to the postseason and Florida head coach Andrew Brunette scratched him last Friday. Duclair posted 31 goals and 58 points during the regular season but has recorded only two assists and one shot on goal in the playoffs. He returns to the lineup on the second line, joining Sam Bennett and Jonathan Huberdeau.

Anthony Duclair Nets Two More Goals Thursday

Florida Panthers left-winger Anthony Duclair continues his strong season with two goals on Thursday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Duclair opened the scoring just 2:10 into the contest with his 11th goal of the season. If that was not enough, the winger scored again early in the third period for his 12th goal of 2021-22 thanks to Jonathan Huberdeau. Then a couple of minutes later, Duclair picked up a secondary assist on Florida's eighth goal of the night. Considering the winger has 20 points in 23 games this season, he is well on his way to smashing past his career highs of 23 goals and 44 points.

Anthony Duclair Tallies A Game-Winner Against Rangers

Florida Panthers winger Anthony Duclair provided the game-winning goal in Wednesday's 4-3 victory over the Rangers, putting his team two goals up with 5:20 left in regulation before Chris Kreider managed to cut the deficit to one. Duclair recorded a plus-one rating for the game and had two shots overall with one hit in 13:10 of ice time. The 26-year-old is now on 10 goals and 18 points for the season with 22 games played. He'll be back in action on Thursday against Tampa, looking to score in consecutive games for the first time since October.
